I think the real comedy comes when you drop that spare T20 on the gravel drive as you open the car door and like most small tools it just vanishes into thin air................

Gravel also has an insatiable appetite for small nuts and washers too...

have you ever noticed when searching gravel for some lost valuable bit you always find the rubbish, old cable tie ends, bits of broken plastic, split balljoint gaiter clips and so on but never what you're actually looking for...

Sometimes, if the gods are smiling, you find what you lost lost time you were working on the car and gave up trying to find at the time.

An old truism is that if you have a spare of something then you'll never loose the original item - it's always the one thing you only have one of that you loose

Tarmac (weathered!) is just as bad!

Was fixing the transporter's rear light just yesterday and the nut rolled off the back onto the driveway floor. Didn't help that that nut was a bit rusty so blended in nicely...

Could I find it?!!

I did think about it at the time, but it was absolutely pouring down (don't ask!) so opted for a new nut and bolt out of the garage.

Still haven't found it even after moving the truck in the morning!

Very nice Jim...the tractor unit looks like a Kenworth T600 - a similar cousin to the all time great W900. Saw one of them today as well.
