They look very stylish Matt There's something about a light yellow tint!

Mine continue to be great and yesterday I found they help during very heavy rain at dusk too

We had a great day out in Cambridge and visited the Museum of Technology there in the old sewage pumping works... A brilliant little museum, supremely curated and a total surprise for me... I was not told where I was being taken...

The bit I really loved was the Pye building - dedicated to the history of Pye, the former famous radio, TV, telecoms and scientific equipment manufacturer who was for many, many years, world leaders in their fields and absolutely synonymous with Cambridge...

So much kit on display, especially the telecomms, I'd worked with in my career - a real stroll down memory lane

Petrol stations run by the MFG group are selling night glasses for £8. I cannot say how good they are, as I don't use them myself.

I wonder if I'd enjoy a museum full of things that I used to use when I'm older.... probably not

I can understand that Ryan, if I'd been brought up in the 80s and 90s I'm pretty sure I wouldn't find any pleasure in looking back either!! However having been brought up in the 50s, 60s and 70s there are many good things to look back on. The world changed radically again with the invention of the microchip and you have never known a world without it, shame really you don't know what you missed!!!

I think the only invention in my timeline that's note worthy would be the mobile phone, Nokia 3310, it's was almost indestructible. Apart from that there's not alot else, not even a moon landing

One thing other than the mobile phone is of course The Internet!!! Hmmm. Good and bad there, and secondly the weird craze to be able to do everything remotely from changing channel on the TV through keeping an eye on the kids to answering the front door bell when you're on the beach in Spain!! I just have to keep asking Why? and answering 'because you can'!!

I was watching TV last night and was reminded of Jim clearing out his garage and wondering whether to get a skip or not. I can't possibly think of why I thought of Jim. I would like to say that Jim is not grumpy in anyway, quite the opposite.

No, it's nearly all sh1te. I've seen a couple of such museums, and it just reminded me how thankful I was that those times have passed.

My first running event in a few weeks... And it was magical... I even recorded a good time, by my standards, for the 10K

Salcey Forest was looking gorgeous in the sunshine. I believe it may have been a bit nippy - not noticed when running hard as you generate more than enough body heat to keep nicely warm and cosy

My general demeanour shows how happy I am... And I am... Almost fully recovered now, I think (hope)...

I'm wearing my new glasses as I find them brilliant for running in. So now they serve three purposes: driving, watching TV and running...

I may try cycling in them next...

And I've been out on my bike again today

Bluebell passed her MoT yesterday with a clean sheet and complementary comments from the tester

I then took her for a joyride before bedding her down in her nice cozy garage where she will now go into hibernation bar the occasional run on nice bright salt-free days

She's driving beautifully

My kitchen is almost finished, just needing the plinths and a bit of trim fitted. The new floor is down and things look lovely It'll look even lovelier when I've decorated!

I spent yesterday moving back in and returning my house to almost normal. I even got rid of my old fridge and freezer in very short time courtesy of our local Facebook group!

Huge thanks go to Mick for all the hard work he's put into my kitchen ( and house renovation generally) project from design to implementation - couldn't have done it without you Mick

I'm now taking a few days R and R and off on the South Coast Saunter Hugely looking forward to it!

Then, when I'm back home it's back to house renovation again... Still lots to do but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel
