Like an icy pond can confuse a duck...
As can a wet road on a foggy evening. I once saw 7 ducks heading into land on what, to them, appeared to be a stream, only for the first two to tumble arse over tip, the next three skidded, and the last two went into 'missed landing' mode!

Sunny day.....off to the Haynes Motor Museum Sunday breakfast meeting to mix it with the expensive boys :)

But had to sort a blown Dip bulb first thing.
A brand new bulb as well but luckily I have a few spare of the same type.

Enjoy the Haynes Motor Museum Alasdair, been a while since I was last there but it was great..

I believe it's been completely rebuilt fairly recently so it'll be good to hear of what you think of it..

Going in the Activa?

Yes Jim....both rebuilt and in the Activa

Well the meeting was a good one, about 150 cars I would think. From old Astons, E-Types ect to modern modified road & drift cars. Some big Yanks, Hot Rods and one Activa :)

The car caused some confusion with the under educated :)
Whilst standing to one side talking to a couple of guys I met last month (Jag owners) a group of BMW drivers were standing talking and laughing about the "Old Xantia" until an older one of their group interrupted their giggling and pointed out loudly that "that thing corners faster than anything in the car park !" Much discussion then took place with the older guy expanding on the suspension system with some knowledge of the detail on the roll control system to dropped jaws. The defender of the Activa really put them in their place :)
I had a chat with him later in the Cafe, he had been monster'd by one at Castle Combe a few years ago.

As said it caused a little confusion.

Nice to have a stealth car :)

Alasdair, I'd have loved to have been there for that! Excellent. Love it :D

Tell you what, do you fancy a repeat visit with me one of these days when I'm down your way?

I let her loose in Bath the first week of Feb. My wallet is still recovering. The jewellers in the market hall must have thought Christmas had come again.

I think that may be possible. If carefully planned maybe my car's twin can join us...

Main thing is, it's red and the Activas will be red too... last time I went to Haynes they had a large exhibition of all red classic cars... Guess that's no longer there...

A C1 can hack it no problems at all... I've run mine down to dad's a number of times and that's further than your journey will be Ben...
