That's well worn Steve, but you'd be amazed at how long they can soldier on... I'd hate to think what the ones on my compressor and bench grinder look like. Or on my lathe one for that matter!

Yes, as I fondly recall how both those and ironmongers used to be... The latter I really do miss... It used to be so good when you could get just one tap washer without having to buy a blister pack of 50 assorted for just the one you need, knowing the other 49 are so esoteric you'll never need them, ever

My new front door All window and door fitting now completed to a very high standard Very pleased...

And Mick and I got stuck into kitchen wrecking in readiness for the new one to be fitted

Whilst the electrician commenced lots of work to bring my wiring up to current regs. and add many, many more sockets...

No more 4-way extensions will be permitted in the house from now on...

Polly did a great job as a van to ferry bits of old kitchen to the tip... She's a superbly versatile vehicle

I should add that the kitchen design is all Mick the Maverick's work so the above needs were very much taken into account

Jim has failed to mention the 30 year old treasure we found while demolishing the kitchen, while my head was inside a base unit to undo the worktop fixings, I noticed a metallic knob above me emerging from the top of the unit's side panel under the work top!!
Further investigation revealed what?

Hopefully Jim will provide a picture later but a few guesses in the meantime might be amusing!!
