Re: Citrojim's AX, Saxo, Pixo, Running and Cycling Tales
Were celebrating our 20 year anniversary tomorrow, I doubt I'll hear that sentence tomorrow...

Just out of curiosity, how many bicycles do you have and how many can you fit in the back? And how much in value would those bicycles be in the back of your new car?

My son puts his mountain bike in the back of my car and it is worth about four times what the car cost.

Re your new addition Jim, I'd recommend when you do top up the Adblue tank, to bung in some anti adblue crystalisation solution:
I add a bottle of the Wynn's to a new 10 litre Adblue container (as I think that's the quantity that this bottle of Wynn's treats) so it's already dosed when I top up the Adblue tank - and I never let mine run low, opting to top it up every 2-3 months. I don't like the idea of lots of air in the adblue tank giving it a chance to rust up the remaining metal parts in the tank.

Thanks Marc! That's a great set of tips
Last thing I want/need is an Adblue issue...

It's about equal for me now Stevemyglaren wrote: 25 Aug 2023, 21:15 My son puts his mountain bike in the back of my car and it is worth about four times what the car cost.
Today I took Polly to Mallory Park to compete in the duathlon being held there...
Early in the morning, onto the M1. Engage Cruise at 70 just past Junction 14 and disengaged it again at Junction 20. Engaged it again between the junction and the A5. Cruise control is great and so is the speed limiter... I'm using it a lot now as Polly as a bad habit of wanting to go too fast in speed limits and I worry for the cleanliness of my licence!
Wonderful. She cruises along beautifully and munches the miles delightfully and in some comfort... No achy bum or knees
Loading my bike and all the requisite gear in the back is so easy compared with Sally and just as easy to get it out again.
The duathon was very good. A bit on the cool side, rainy at times and very, very windy out on the bike course - most of the motor racing circuit. The wind upset my times a bit but I still did a very respectable one
The journey home back down the M1 was almost uneventful bar a couple of cars in the outside lane between J15 and J14 having had a bit of too-close contact and causing havoc as two lanes had to be shut for their recovery...
Needless to say, I'm pretty delighted with Polly

I find the speed limiter is a god send but when you look in the rear view mirror you see a queue of traffic, obviously none of them broke the speed limit to get behind you.........
