Jim....I LOVE you :)

.....but I do wish it was original Citroen "Devil" Red.
If it was the original red I would be wishing to repaint it because it would be all flake and peel .

I can live with the paint as there is no flake, I do quite like the dark gloss grey but would prefer original, it has some orange peel but is glossy with no flake.............I hate my OCD :)

Really it is only me and "those who know" who are offended (or not), so I can live with it until I win the lottery and paint it pink :)

Still cant understand why, if it was originally a gloss finish to the bumpers, you didnt colour key the whole car though. Just MY ocd i suppose ...

I didn't....the French guy I got it from did the work...

When asked why he used a colour so close (Renault) to the original red he shrugged....said oi e oi ...cus I liked it and shrugged again, there is no point in going further with a Frenchman after a shoulder shrug and "stupid Englishman" look on his face :)

I understand now ... so it was renault red/black when you got it. I've always thought that you had it sprayed early on in your ownership. Why dont you get a quote for the bumpers then?

[Dark metallic grey]

Because I have better things to do
Because I have to strip it totally to take it to the Original Blue
Because the car is worth less than the re-spray (to do it correctly)
Because I do not have the time
Because as soon as I do it I will bend it and have to do it again
Because even if it grates on me I cannot be arsed ? (did I say that? )
Because only a few people think like me and you...

I used the inside of a foil packet (the outer wrapping of a 8 pack) of some Tunnock's Caramel Bars to give the chrome look and stuck down with epoxy, trimmed with a scalpel blade No10 when dried and cleaned up, then coated with epoxy (pouring type) to seal , this I then cooked off on top of a radiator once dry.

DIY sourced materials at its best....yummy as well :)
