At least its not spilt diesel, that honks for days after! Thought it was a leak but it was remnants across the car from the filter and leakoff change!

Re: I am an Activa owner...a V6 and I am an addict
My Mum (who has a narrow boat, and (within reason) maintains it herself) found a very good type of hand-wash that gets the smell of diesel off your hands; Citrus (preferably orange) does a very good job of making your hands sociable again.

Re: I am an Activa owner...a V6 and I am an addict
Well I have driven the car again today after making sure the oil leak was cured.
All I can say is it does go much much better. It has a very quick response now on the throttle and is a whole lot smoother. The flat spot I had has also gone
This could be new plugs as much as the flow work ? who knows ?....all I can really say is that whatever it is it is a far better drive and feels like a "better car" than before by quite some margin.
( the old plugs were also twin electrode (NGK) and showed no deterioration and were gapped the same.)
VERY VERY happy, the difference in its "get up and go" is very noticeable

Standard bulbs FYI, not LED as the mask is reflective on the inside surface.

Re: I am an Activa owner...a V6 and I am an addict
I tried to make a V6 Activa mask but the letters/number did not line up well ( as I wished to use the original bulbs and not super bright LED's) so they did not illuminate it correctly at either end. It did not quite look right to the eye either.

That really finishes it off a treat Alasdair
The rest of the car has been repainted in a Renault red and the whole thing is just gorgeous and very well executed...
Those have been properly repainted in the most gorgeous gloss metallic dark grey/almost black and the picture does not do it justice... They look fabulous but you need to see the car to appreciate it fully..Northerner wrote:Bypassing the colour coded bumpers then [emoji1]
