James has worked fine on my 05 C4, my 04 Berlingo and a R - reg Xantia as well as his own Xantia. I can't recall if we stuck it on my 02 plate C5 or not.

This should be fine on cars of these years - and keeping your software to a workable version is all you will need. It's when you try updating it to work with newer CAN BUS vehicles you may run into problems with your kit. If it 'aint broke...

So, a little tale of caution here for those wanting to upgrade their Diagbox to Version 8.**.
I ran into some issues today, looking for some information for another member in Diagbox. Since I installed V8.17 a few weeks back - I had not actually needed to telecode anything until today on my X7. As it turned out, all I had to do was to go into the vehicle configuration section - and this alone was enough to throw up a message 'The apps are now deactivated'.

Never seen this before so didn't actually go any further as all I was doing at this point was looking for the correct sub-menu. So I backed out to the menu and closed Diagbox down. I re-launched the system and it said it was now necessary to reactivate the apps and displayed my customer code and requested the password. After putting this in - it came up with 'Error Code 20 - the licence File is not Coherent - reinstall Diagbox'.

Luckily I was able to replace the licence file from a backup and all was activated again. I went on a further 2 times to try this out and each time it did the same! I spent some time with ED this
evening going through this and as I suspected from other research I have been doing, it seems that they are removing a lot of telecoding options from V8 onwards.

It seems that going into the vehicle configuration initiated a contact to the PSA servers and of course as most here (except those who pay for a subscription to PSA for access) won't have a valid log-in, it disabled the software. This never happened on previous versions I have used - so I thought it worth a mention.

There are some who are prepared to edit individual vehicle configuration files to remove or comment out the lines that are now prohibiting telecoding, but to be honest, I don't have the time to do this and for me, there is no gain.

I will therefore be uninstalling V8.17 and going back to good old V7.57, which covers all PSA vehicles up to November 2015. I know this is a bit long - but it might save someone some pain.... :hb:

I should also mention that I keep my wifi turned on for 2 reasons - one so I can print to the main printer and secondly, if I turn it off, Diagbox pesters the daylights out of me every 5 seconds about this which is even more annoying! :-D

Sean - best to post this as a new Topic - as this thread is for Lexia / Diagnostic issues. That way you will get more people looking at your post. Also, provide as much info as you can - what you did exactly and what, if anything, you disconnected from the car to do the job etc., and anything that you may have done that could of caused this issue aside from the gearbox / clutch replacement. I'm sure there are members who have done this job and may be able to give you some pointers :-D

I wonder if any of you Lexia/PP2000 experts can answer a question for me. My replacement 406 2.0. Hdi appears to be running perfectly but its using about 30% more fuel than the other one or my C5. I have had the PP2000 on it and nothing appears to be wrong.

I was hoping to find that the cam belt had been incorrectly fitted but the Lexia says: 'camshaft/crankshaft synchronised - yes'. Could it still possibly display this if the belt was say one tooth out?

I have changed the MAF and thermostat, dissed the EGR done a leak off test on the injectors and there is not much difference between which seems to be verified by the Lexia readout, everything seems to read about the average for this engine.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Peter

How easy is it to connect the lexia, drive up the road and record the data being put out?. I will be interested in everything that makes the auto-box, do what it should when it should, throttle position extra. And why I am on here, what are the default settings for a BVA_AM6_AT^_EURO5 gearbox?, these are the parameter options I have seen so far.
Gearbox Control - Missing
ESP - Present
Steering Wheel gear shift - Missing - (This is only for the Peugeot 508).
Vehicle speed transmitted on the network by the automatic gearbox - No
Origin of the "brake Pedal status" information - ESP

It should be easy enough - just choose the personalised parameters that you want to measure (I think you can choose up to 10) but some warn you not to do with the engine running (like brakes and ESP I guess  ) there should be a pause button bottom right that you can use to halt the tests and start again, then off you go. I think these will graph (depending on the tests). Just don't be tempted to look at the screen - or you'll be in the back of someone else's boot! :)
