Not surprising when half the body is carbon fibre!
Article about these Hampshire Police BMWs in the local paper.
Projected savings of £450,000 in first 3 years. No mention of purchase price.
A photo of 4 of them shows LJ67 and GX18 registrations, registered on 1st Feb and 1st Mar.

The Hampshire Police ( or as was in 1965 The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police) aren't frightened to lead the way.
They were the first force in the Country to "Go Foreign"....with a crop of
Volvo Amazons
Meanwhile the Met also have ambitions in transformong their fleet, and even have a few active Toyota Mirai (11 at least) all logoed up proper police cars. Leccy but fuel cell, running on H2. So plenty of points for spotting a Mirai!

The original Leaf styling was very distinctive in a marmite, polarising way - you loved it or hated it (I hated it) but everyone recognised it.
The Leaf 2 is basically an original Leaf chassis underneath (complete with the silly overhang at the front) styled to look like the new Micra on the outside.
As such it is bland and unremarkable, looking like a "normal" car - neither offensive or distinctive!
Personally I prefer the quirky styling of the Ion.

I rode in a Micra as a passenger yesterday. I was impressed... Quick and nimble...

I've driven the older Micra (around 2011/2010 model I think) as a rental car a couple of times before I bought a car in the UK and I was quite impressed with it, for what it is. For a small car with a small (probably 1.2 litre) petrol motor it had quite a bit of kick and coped with motorway effortlessly. Completely different experience to the Peugeot 208 with small 3 cylinder petrol engine that I drove not long ago that was dreadful!

Re: Electric Vehicles: What have you spotted?
The one I travelled in was a slightly older one than that Simon, a 07 plate I think although it may be a 06...
It was the 1.2 Sport model with alloys, perforated pedals and white dials...

Followed a red Telsa around Gloucester yesterday, only the second one I've seen fairly locally.

I spotted a pale blue E Type Jaguar (on TV) that had been converted to electric. It was in the area of Windsor.

Re: Electric Vehicles: What have you spotted?
Whatever it cost to build, and how much "range" it has, that particular car had shedloads of the stuff they call "provenance" now. As for JLR if they don't see a business opportunity now for selling copycat vehicles to very rich people at a ridiculous prices they will be missing a trick.
They have the tag already "The Most beautiful Electric Car in the World". They could even equip it with "Petrol Fragrance" air freshners for those wanting a more "authentic" feel.
Lets have some Visuals!

One of the previously mentioned electrics at Wetherby.

Re: Electric Vehicles: What have you spotted?
I notice that after a couple of years of Autotrader steadily hovering around 720 to 760 electric vehicles advertised, it skipped up to a bit over 1000 3 or 4 months ago.
Still only quarter of a per cent of the total though.
