Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
Ok, with this you too have a revision B piece of kit so you may be able to go to Diagbox V7.01 if you are lucky (which contains the upgrade to 7.02) and that's it. Later editions of the software need higher firmware and this cant be applied to your unit unless you get it reflashed to a revision C from somewhere. If you need the V7.01/02 send me a PM.

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
I would not mind being able to take my Lexia up past 7.15, if that is possible. It does work there, it is just that when I installed 7.16 it wanted authentication.

Re: RE: Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
Marc .... as i understand it 7.0x onwards requires a new install of diagbox, yes? So ... just tried to 'up' it to 6.36 and it wanted auto activation (i tried it for fun) and it went on to fail. What am i doing wrong here, anything? Copied back the archived 6.35 bin folder and all back to normal. Wouldnt mind trying 7 onwards so have PM'd you but would also like to see if i can get it to 6.39. Chances?GiveMeABreak wrote:Ok, with this you too have a revision B piece of kit so you may be able to go to Diagbox V7.01 if you are lucky (which contains the upgrade to 7.02) and that's it. Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
If you have your original install ISOs for version 6 and the updates, no reason why you can't try. You will really need to uninstall all previous versions first though (but keep your old licence file from the working installation) as a backup in case you need to go back to version 6 and have activation issues. I dont have anything prior to V7, so can't help with any of those updates.

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
I see ... i only have what was supplied in the ED kit. That is updates to 6.35. The 'extra' updates are available through Diagbox itself so are you saying they cant be applied in the same way? Just thought you might of gad an idea why the first one 6.36 promoted for auto activation and whether there were any tricks to get around it that's all. I'll try 7.x if you be so kind as to supply the files. Just playing around with the installs atm.

The updates will be separate update files. Send me a PM with an email; address if you want the Diagbox 7.01/02.xantiamanic wrote:I see ... i only have what was supplied in the ED kit. Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
Yes detection should work - if not, are you sure your system is activated? Next as you are using this on an older vehicle - what revision is your hardware interface, firmware and Diagbox version? If these are set too high for the hardware you will have communication problems. Earlier Revision 'B' clones require older firmware and Diagbox 5 or 6 to work. Diagbox 7 generally needs revision 'C' hardware and newer firmware.

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
I have just checked my Lexia (supplied by Easy Diagnostics), and it is V4.2.8, version B, but it does run DiagBox 7.15.

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
OK - so you are lucky here - and this will depend on the vehicle you are using it on as to the success you get or not. I would suggest you don't update it any further or you may cause problems when it tries to put the new firmware (which it does by default when updates are applied) - unless you have changed the configuration settings to prevent all updates.Hell Razor5543 wrote:I have just checked my Lexia (supplied by Easy Diagnostics), and it is V4.2.8, version B, but it does run DiagBox 7.15.
