Hi Marc...it is way past the 1st

its a 03 2ltr 307
OS is Win7 32bit on my Sony Vaio, works perfectly with my C5X7
Do not know what the PSA checker is, so I think I need that then

When you have that info we know what firmware to try.

I did this last week on mine, and upgraded the firmware. It's really very easy, as long as you follow Marc's instructions!

Alasdair, just as well we checked - you have a revision B interface. This means it will not communicate with SOME vehicles, the 307 included (daft, as it can communicate with the X7, but it is very selective on which vehicles it will have dialogue with). Therefore I wouldn't advise upgrading the firmware until the unit has been flashed (if possible) to revision C. The unit may block come firmware upgrades until the EEPROM and MCU has been upgraded, so I wouldn't chance it until you decide if you are going to upgrade your kit or not. In order to use the stable version of Diagbox 7.57, it will need at least firmware version 4.3.2 and yours is 4.3.0.

I can only help with the firmware updating, but not the EEPROM and MCU flashing. This can be done over the internet using Teamviewer, so you don't have to send it off. Easydiagnostics offer this service for their own kits and for those not bought there. I'm not sure what they charge, but maybe worth an email / call.

Yep I saw that....but as this "read" is for a friend and my Lexia works fine with "my" car.....I cannot justify £100 for a "favour" when the car cost £175

I will try to borrow one from the Local South West CCC.

Guys ... help me out by saving me from reading through the previous 75 pages, gulp! I've just unboxed the Lexia i bought three years ago from EasyDiagnostics and tried to install (its v6.01 out of the box) onto an XP laptop and it fails at activation with the 'error during installation .... please restart' which i did a few times but its going nowhere. Where do i start?

When you have the info, can you post a screenshot or the revision and Firmware version - as per my post. This will determine your hardware and firmware and from here we can see what version of Diagbox you should / can install. Also, what vehicle (and year) do you intend to use it on?

Thanks ... i'll give that a go.

And ... the info on page 32 was what i needed (thx Simon) and I now have base Diagbox installed, the updates are for 'another day'.

Managed to get it up to v6.35 without any hitches. Not sure whether or not it needs internet connection for authentication but .... here's photo of my 'interface checker' output

There are 6.36 - 6.39 updates showing atm ... any use?

My cars currently stop at 2007 C1 with a few S1 and S2 Xantias to chuck into the mix.
