She is owned by a lady who is currently very poorly in hospital and may be there for some time...

It's not safe to leave the car where it usually lives as it's likely to disappear or worse...

Hence she's in my safe keeping for as long as necessary and keeping Sally company...

The one I used in Mallorca, which belongs to my South Coast Saunter mate Ken, is still on the island while Ken makes up his mind what to do with it. It may be available for sale in the near future or he will take it back to the mainland and have the headlights converted and then keep it! It is the Trilogy model of which only 333 were made sponsored by De Beers if anyone is interested.

With all the rain we're having, keep an eye on the hood drain tubes on that hairdryer, Jim. The hood drains to 2 drain holes behind each seat belt 'tower' i.e. right behind each seat belt top mount. You'll know if they're blocked as there'll either be water pooled there, or the carpets will be wet. Use curtain wire or something flexible and similar to curtain wire (but blunt ended) to push through the drain tubes - in at the top, and withdraw from the bottom under the car. I have a trumpet cleaning brush sitting in the glovebox of mine for such procedures

I'll second that comment from bobins Jim and add that I use the airline to blow them through each week when checking the tyres!

Thanks both, I'll be checking the drains... We noticed earlier the roof was not quite closed against the windscreen top rail...

That's now corrected.. I can't tell yet if it's damp or musty inside as the owner is a heavy smoker and I currently can't go near it until the smell has dissipated somewhat...

Speaking of smells, I opened the garage doors and gave Daffodil a warming run whilst I ventured into the Citroen parts store (the garage attic)... She started on the button and really runs beautifully but...

I'd left the door into the conservatory open and the house filled with exhaust fumes (the conservatory also having a door into the garage)...

I then had to open every window in the house to allow the fumes to escape! Cue one cold house on a damp day requiring the use of plenty of central heating to warm it up again...

Exhaust fumes, one amongst many sorts of fumes and vapours, make me feel rather ill. Adequate ventilation is always an essential...

As of this morning, I have now ridden just over 2000 miles on the Zwift virtual cycling platform so far in 2020

2000 miles spent pedalling my bike attached to a special brake dynamometer (otherwise known as a turbo trainer) in my conservatory whilst immersed in some amazing virtual worlds...

In total this year I have ridden 6110 miles and ran 1355 miles...

And by the end of today I'll have been running on 47 consecutive days...

And the year is not yet over...

Nice one Jim, I'm aiming to get over 2k miles on the road this year, another 200 to go...love to be able to ride 10k a year, my boss and family might not think it was such a good idea

Technically I did The Turbo Trainer contains an alternator to power it It also has a very large capacitor to hold enough power to keep it alive when not pedalling for short periods...

You need a change of boss Richard I managed 12K in 2019 and all that was on the road... I won't achieve anywhere near 10K this year but hopefully next year I will

The main thing is you've loved every mile!!!

I rounded off my October running account today with a half marathon in Salcey Forest, my very special happy place I timed it beautifully, no sooner had I got to the cafe the heavens absolutely opened I was minutes away from getting drenched!

This was my sixth half marathon in six consecutive weekends and day 47 of my run streak...

Not as fast as last week but it was very windy and I stopped a few times to chat to friends... Still a sub two hour run (just) and I'm happy with that
