Three figures?
69.9mph?
Technically correct!!
and factually incorrect by a wide margin....I say no more
The car goes well Jim, brakes are working well and all levels seem to be holding, I had it all up to temperature for a good while. The A30 through Stockbridge is a a great stretch as you can have fun as the road "flows" well but of course staying at legal speeds. It is certainly a better drivers road & visually than the 303 if you need to divert past that part on a Friday for instance.
I looked under the car yesterday before going to the Ace Cafe and there has been no leaks from the rear ram and everything else was dusty dry.
I have been holding back this summer as I am so new to the car and its foibles. I have always worried about that pressure problem but with the new pump on the shelf, yesterday I thought what the heck, its going to bed soon anyway.
At least it shows all I need to do over the winter is fit the new pump and accumulator, Dinatrol the hell out of it, Oils and fluids for both the engine and the box, plugs and porting inlets and finish cleaning the engine bay. I have a few bulbs to change (heater controls) and may even finish the headlamp conversion.
BUT I am struggling with my trust levels when the road is damp as I have not been to a place where I can "loose it" safely at speed ...I am not one for pushing it beyond a known limit of Going, Staying On or Stopping on an open road : add in "What that idiot ahead will do" as well.
Note for New Year : I must get to a skid pan and find an airfield
And thanks to you for the ram ~
Any time on really on the pump Jim, cannot see this mild weather keeping the Rot-Trucks inside much longer
Not much at the Ace, a 2lt petrol Ph1 XM and a 2Cv van, some Pugs, some Renwhats and 5 McLaren 605's. I had a long conversation with one of the McLaren drivers about the Activa which he spotted as I drove in. He was apparently taken over the Alps in a V6 Activa at its launch by a French guy who test drove for Citroen, he said it was one of his talking points in bars ever since when people talk "suspensions" and he could not believe Citroen had dropped hydro suspension as a concept for road cars.
No, I'm sure the cold weather can't be far away... The old gritters must be well straining on their leashes by now and going bonkers with frustration!!!
Sounds like an interesting do at the Ace Always god to natter with people who know what an Activa is and appreciate them!

Yes, you can. There was a whole section of a programme on Radio 4 devoted to just that. The Aussies are past masters at BBQ'ing turkeys at Christmas...
Weather today has been great. Been for a 22 miler on my bike today I was too hot at one point..
Working on the Throttle body (From the Green V6) and this is what I have, is it worn ? (there is zero dirt in there and it is on the stop)
I am not going to polish it out just yet as I will get new gaskets first so I can match the port size at the same time as well as knife edge the inlet side.
I'll have to check one of mine but almost sure they should be a tight fit when closed.. As you say Stu, the ICU does all idle regulation duties and that bypasses the butterfly entirely.
In fact, when setting up the Lexia must see the butterfly properly closed...
