"Below 'STAGSDEN 2000' and written vertically is the legend 'TOADS'"
With ads on the end I'd guess 'Amateur Dramatic Society.' has TO any local meaning?

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Just finished this this second Gibbo.....snap!
Only mention I found was in the Parish Newsletter for Feb 2019 which mentions it in connection with the unfortunate passing of one of its founder members MICK BRUMMELL , and a "TOADS" regular prize draw thing that donates £58 each draw to the Parish Hall.
Did think the ADS bit could be Amateur Dramatic Society but more likely to be one of those community charitable groups like Round Table/Lions clubs etc.

Next time you are there you will have to ask someone! The internet draws a blank.CitroJim wrote: 28 Jan 2021, 17:35 Below 'STAGSDEN 2000' and written vertically is the legend 'TOADS'

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
I found the same Neil but my impression is that TOADS is for retired people so I'd suggest :
The Old Age Drama Society
Just a thought!!

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
PS, I don't know if you noticed but the phone number for the TOADS draw was the same as the number in the garden centre advert next to the TOADS notice. So the society could be associated with gardening - The Old Age Diggers Society?

I did notice they did the TOADS draws in "The Coffee Pot" and the newsletter did seem to have a regular slot on a Thursday at 10.30 at the Coffee Pot (in 2019).mickthemaverick wrote: 29 Jan 2021, 09:48 PS, I don't know if you noticed but the phone number for the TOADS draw was the same as the number in the garden centre advert next to the TOADS notice. ...and in totally unrelated but marginally fascinating trivia, when I looked up "The Coffee Pot" Bedford up popped this interesting image....

The story is here

and a trivia question revealed in the story.

In that case Steve, as it is a strangely configured item I'll go for the insides of part of your Citroen C5's suspension, possibly height regulator?
