DIY with function over finesse!!

As you may have seen the other day on POTD I have decided to see if I can get back into darts, so today I worked out how to adapt a wardrobe in my room to be able to practise yet remove all sign when not needed (or when SWMBO sees it )

The board is hung on a vertical post to get the exact right height and the rest of the contents (old coats and jumpers) of the wardrobe protected by an old towel and the 'pelmet' along the top. I was able to adapt the normal ceiling light shade to give me a good enough light on the board for play. I can remove it all in 35 seconds should the need arise!!

I'm just waiting for the delivery of my darts mat, which was supposed to be here earlier, to complete the job!

What are you using for the surround Mick? Is that a purpose-made item?

Yes it is a proper surround as used in tournaments when the board is against a wall, but I had to modify it slightly to get between the wardrobe doors!!
