Re: How to Replace the Internal MicroSD Card - RT6
I just wanted to explain what I have already checked:
- I have checked all the fuses related to the RT6 unit — all are fine.
- I have disconnected and reconnected the battery following the recommended procedure.
- The unit shows a faint backlight behind the black screen when powered on, so it’s not completely dead.
- The CD/DVD mechanism keeps resetting every few seconds.
- There is no image on the screen (other than the faint backlight) and no sound at all from the unit.
I cannot run Mirascript to extract the configuration because the unit never boots.
That’s why I am asking for the Virgin RT6 SD image — so I can at least see if the unit will boot and confirm whether the problem is only with the SD card or something more serious.
I understand that without the original configuration I may lose some personalised settings, but at this point I just need to check if the RT6 will start at all.
Thank you again for your help and advice!

Re: How to Replace the Internal MicroSD Card - RT6
I can't supply an image of the SD card. It would be different for every car the RT6 was fitted to. All I have are copies of the actual firmware either as an ISO of a CD or, in a few cases, as software than has to be loaded onto a USB pen drive.
As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

With this script you can delete the System Volume Information folder from the Desktop. When you run it, you just need to enter the drive letter of the USB if you have more than one.

HiHelder Lopes wrote: 19 Jul 2025, 00:11 You need to install the v2.86 Firmware by PEN...
You must format PEN in FAT32 in a Windows 7 PC cause Windows 10 and 11 hide 2 files in the PEN and the system refuses to install!
Better you use a PEN with activity led to check the progress in the car.
Car with the engine running!
Insert the PEN and wait!
After CD motor runs, the LED on the PEN will flash for about 5 to 7 minutes... LCD is dark with some poor visible bacl light, only seen in darker places or at night!
After that time 5 to 7 minutes, the led will stop flashing and in abaout 1 minute you will see DISK CHECK on the LCD!
Update started!
The system will do some updates and may restart some times during the process...
Some steps are:
CRC Media Checking
FP upgrade 0- 100%
Partition process on MicroSd card...
Upgrade Preparation... (freezing for about 3 to 5 min. is normal)
Loading CRC 0-100%
Loading 0-100%
System reboot in 5 secs...
System reboots in 1 to 2 minutes with black screen then it switches on and recovery is done!
Now you need to configure and calibrate the system to your VIN and model... Beep is heard until you configure the VIN...
Then you can install Maps and Radar files... First you must install one map and then radars... The system will restart when first map is installed and you remove the PEN from USB port...
I can make configuration and calibration files (Bluetooth echo correction etc) for all PSA models and send it to you.
Install it is very easy. 1 or 2 minutes!
If you want, contact me by the Portuguese "FORUM PEUGEOT PORTUGAL" where you can get full details, maps, radar files and more!
I am trying to get my maps back on and wrote them to USB. I've literally just posted a fresh post about it.
I could see the maps files yesterday in the car but today I cannot see them.
Is there a particular protocol of key presses required or does the battery have to be disconnected as per BSI reset procedure for the maps to be seen?
Like I say, I could see the maps on the USB last night but not today. I was very low on fuel and I've read that the updates take around an hour so I couldn't do them last night but have a 3 hour drive ahead of me today so can do them during that if I can get them to come up.
I found a cheat code screen too but there is no chance of entering an activation key in 30 seconds!!!
Any advice would be great.
I've just written maps to CD now to try that.
Is activation key injected into CC.DAT file do you know?

Re: How to Replace the Internal MicroSD Card - RT6
Hello.
Someone can help me to find the last firmware for a 2013 RT6?
The screen appear black on hot start and now starting to reboot. I think the internal microSD is too old. Trying a clone of it do not success.
I have a new microSD and I want to install the firmware from scratch.
Can someone send me a link in MP or help me?
Thank you

Re: How to Replace the Internal MicroSD Card - RT6
Do you know what firmware is currently fitted? I would caution against going to the very latest version as this can cause problems with the marque logo, Bluetooth echo, etc.

First of all, thank you.Do you know what firmware is currently fitted? I would caution against going to the very latest version as this can cause problems with the marque logo, Bluetooth echo, etc.
I'm not sure if reinstalling the firmware is the right thing to do.
Right now, the symptoms are:
- Cold boot ok (until yesterday)
- Warm boot doesn't work (black screen and CD noise)
- Sporadic reboots (since today)
- Internal microSD cloned with minor errors, but clone doesn't work
- I don't have an SD card on the front
- I have a USB port in the dashboard
- I have a new 16GB industrial-grade microSD
- The car is a 2013 Peugeot 807
Here are some photos with the software versions

2.75 was only fitted at the factory. The closest I can offer is 2.77. I will send you link in a few minutes. Check your PMs.

Re: How to Replace the Internal MicroSD Card - RT6
Thanks!
Do you think it's enough to insert the new FAT32-formatted microSD card and the burned DVD?
If I can, I'll try the procedure with MIRASCRIPT first to back up my personal setup.
Thanks again!

Re: How to Replace the Internal MicroSD Card - RT6
Sorry, but this 2.77 looks like an update, not a fresh install. The file is just a few megabytes.
Do you know this image allows for a fresh install?
I'll burn it now, then maybe I can try tonight if you tell me there's hope.
Thanks

Re: How to Replace the Internal MicroSD Card - RT6
This is a similar size to all the RT6 firmwares that I have. Others have used these files to load up a new SD card.
You can try to use a CD but a more reliable way would be to mount the ISO and extract the files to a pen drive.

Re: How to Replace the Internal MicroSD Card - RT6
Very quick temporary update: I spent 8 hours in the car last night trying to install the SO on the new microSD.
A CD with this 2.77 version wouldn't boot, giving an error on the first check, but then I managed to boot a CD with version 2.86.
It ran through cycles of about half an hour with checks, loading, rebooting, interface and media verification, rebooting, etc. 8 hours... in the car... with the engine running... sleeping every now and then for 10 minutes... and dawn came... and it hadn't finished... it must have run through 20 cycles.
At the last request to reboot, I said no, and the system worked, but it was in Czech and incomplete.
I reinserted the previous microSD card and nothing worked.
As soon as I can, I'll try to resume, or restart but from a USB stick.
I'm not very happy, but I have reason to remain optimistic.
Your help and suggestions have been invaluable.

Re: How to Replace the Internal MicroSD Card - RT6
As I said a better way would have been to transfer the files to a pen drive. If you have installed 2.86 then you won't be able to revert to an earlier version. You might be able to use Mirascripts to change the language and other things but I don't know the exact procedure.

There is probably a way using Mirascrpt but I don't know how to do that. Maybe someone more familiar with Mirascript can help here.
The other way is go to a dealer and get them to download the configuration file for your vehicle from the Stellantis servers. I am told that this should only take about half an hour so hopefully they would only charge half the hourly rate for this.
