I made an account, posted a question and pretty much immediately was answered by Mark. I was suprised by the level of effort put in to ask for info and explain things.. to the point I looked up his posts and wondered to myself who knows so much about so many topics.
Now I saw this post.. so wanted to join on the bandwagon and say thanks for sharing your knowledge and for the help Mark! Much appreciated.

And as of 7.00 pm this evening, he has bowed out of this forum
Say it ain't so, Marc
Just a very short note to say a fond farewell to all my fellow FCF members, both past and present before I sign off.

I’ve enjoyed my tenure here over the past 10 years and hopefully have provided some help along the way.

Wishing you all the very best for the future and may your vehicles be gremlin-free.

It appears that it is so.

Marc has indicated that he is stepping away from all forum activities for personal reasons. He is of course welcome to change his mind and come back any time.

He will be sorely missed from the forum administration team and as a prolific poster with a huge ability to dig out information from the PSA documentation system.

Thank you Marc for all your help and support over the last (nearly) 10 years. I hope that we see you back soon, hopefully not asking for advice on fixing your C3 Aircross.

This is devastating news for the forum. He formed a very good portion of the backbone of this forum.

I strangely feel bereft at his departure.

Can only hope that everything is OK with him and his family.

Truly a dedicated member and his superb knowledge and, as xantia_v6 says, his ability to dig out and present information was invaluable.

Such a shame but I am sure he wouldn’t have taken his decision lightly.

I was gobsmacked when I saw Marc's last post earlier this evening. I have already posted my thoughts about him and his contribution to the FCF on the first page of this thread so I sent him my own thoughts by PM earlier. On here I simply suggest that this has been a bad year for the FCF so far. Losing both Newcastle Falcon and Givemeabreak is a body blow so it is up to the rest of us to keep the forum worthy of its reputation as the best motoring orientated forum on the web so we have an enormous task to fill the inevitable voids now created by their departures. =D> :-D

I have wondered for some time how Marc could find the time to hold our hands here and still have a life away from the forum. Now we know and we're all going to miss his presence and deep knowledge of how to get the best out of the Stellantis parts system.
As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

Well said Mick.

I was unaware we lost Newcastle Falcon too. I guess the ‘Unread Posts’ option which I have NEVER used in all my years is the best repository for everything one has not seen.

Like you say big boots to fill and not really possible but we should also recognise that this forum has, over the years, been the best and friendliest forum for french cars bar none also due o part to everyone and anyone that makes a valid contribution. Shamefully, many of us, myself included, take more than we put back either because we don’t have the time or the nuanced knowledge of Citroens.

As you say his Stellantis, and before that, Service Citroen was superb.

Ah I'm very shocked to hear the news, I've relied on Marc's expertise consistently over the years. I wish you all the best Marc, if you get to read this.

Marc was my first contact when I joined & has been a great help since.
He's always been interested in my little problems & responded almost immediately.
Full of knowledge & one of life's gents. He'll be sorely missed.
Marc, take care wherever life takes you . It's been a pleasure & privilege to make your virtual acquaintance.

Oh gosh, I've only just seen this!
I do hope Marc is ok. He's been such a helpful person to so many over the years.
Is anyone in touch with him 'off-forum' who can pass on our thanks and best wishes (and hopefully confirm back to us that all is well)?
