I think GiveMeABreak doth protest too much. Verily, I do detect the whiff of sarcasm on the air.

The handbook Neil posted is quite helpful but it has the usual 'depending on model' stuff.

On the Citroens you guys were able to find the exact build spec from the vin number, can that be done on the Renault?

I think that's a closed system with Renault Eric.

Its coming, the lucrative world of insurance is about to be disrupted, and who will be the beneficiaries of the new world order, those with the tech, those with the data.

Who will that be in the world of car insurance :?: .......The savvy automakers. Some are way ahead of the game compared to the rest who will no doubt follow along later at their customary snail's pace.

Unsurprisingly doesn't take too many guesses to work out who is leading the way, and who estimate that 30%-40% of their global revenues from its car business, will arise from their in house insurance product.

I signed up for 'My Renault' posted the registration number and it brought up all I need, the full spec. of the car, when it's due for service and even the driver's handbook in PDF form.
Says the car needs a cabin filter in November then the next service in June 2022.
It also says it has the service history but I haven't been able to find that yet, maybe it means just for the present owner.

What other info is there in the My Renault thingy?

Daughter has a Megane C+C. Doesn't need servicing dates etc. as it is way beyond that (06) but she is having problems with electric windows and mirrors.
Is it like an online handbook?

There's a pdf handbook for the Zoe and a lot of links to other stuff, I haven't got too deep in yet.
Not sure if this will be useful to your girl but she could sign up and have a wander through the site. it costs nothing.

The dreaded renewal arrived from Direct Line £680 :( shopped around got one as low as £503 but a very dubious company, so called Direct line on the phone and had a chat, they knocked it down to £549.98 without hesitation, still a big lump but I'm going ahead with that.

I remember my first car an Austin 10 cost £7.10s for TPF&T. for a year.

Is that just for the Zoe? If so seems excessive.
Mine was only £364.68 for me and my son.

Electric cars are more expensive to insure across the board it seems, as there is insufficient data as yet to make more accurate risk decisions and of course they tend to be more expensive to repair / replace given the cost at new.

I hate insurance renewal time. Got my renewal in from Allianz the other day - it jumped from €350 to €450 for fully comp on the C5.

I've been lazy and stuck with Allianz for the last few years, so I know they have my annual mileage etc on file as I confirm it every year...but the renewal documents were missing this info along with a few other bits. I called to complain, said I work from home 3 days/week, do under 5000kms/year and they knocked it down to €340

Still, not gonna take it as I've found a competitor who'll do fully comp with breakdown/windscreen/legal cover for €370
