isn't that the same Green colour for Unleaded Petrol to?
I seem to remember my Petrol fuel cans being Green

diesel Hoses are Black Not Green. Unless you go to Tescos of course...

Back to topic sort of:

After spending two hours getting one Bumper side bolt off the car at the scrappy and the sun burning my Bonce
Badly #-o I am seriously thinking about using coach bolts to reattach the sides to my old Xantia,
with rounded heads and a fresh coat of paint I am wondering if they will be noticed to much.

I have a slight dent in the side of my second hand bumper I was thinking maybe I could warm it up with a hot air gun and push the dent out
especially being as I have to repaint the bumper anyway.
Has anyone got any better ideas or thoughts please.

Thanks
Nigel.

I suppose it depends on the type of plastic - too brittle and it may crack / snap; as for hot air - it might warp the whole area. If you are going to paint it anyway, can you not get some filler and cover the dent? I mean it will have to be wet & dried anyway when priming and painting? I suppose it depends on the size of the dent really.

Marc,

its about 6" across and on the off side of the plastic below the actual bumper moulding.
if you like the flexible part of the valence below the bumper. which mounts just in front of the front wheel arch.

All those nozzle sniffers :-D , I wonder if they're 'under the influence' when they drive off.

Ho Hum wrong again, Can you tell I don't get fuel from Tesco's??
Don't get confused never have done, why do people have a diesel car and put petrol in it?
stick a sticker on the fuel flap Diesel Only and check and double check.
As Stckyfingers link points out sniff the Nozzle, £200 to pump the tank out absolutely disgusting.
its worth £50 if that to cut the fuel line attach a 12 volt electric pump and switch it on
then put in a hose to hose plastic connector.
I replaced my squeezy primer bulb with an electric fuel pump years ago and put a non return valve in the fuel line
closer to the fuel filter to replace the one in the squeezy bulb which kept failing.
If I ever make this mistake I can pump the fuel out myself using the electric fuel pump.
Hopefully I wont. However I did use it once to pump the tank empty of veg oil as we had a cold snap in the weather
and it was causing starting problems, a very handy modification to have on any car.
and it didn't kill the battery as I was able to attach an external battery to it.
Make the wiring connections very long terminating at the front of the car
well away from the battery. Mines connected up to a remote control unit now as I
couldn't find a way through the bulkhead to put a switch inside the car.
it is very handy when changing fuel filters holding the remote I push the button and refill my filter housing.
the remote Keyfob lives in my four year retired ashtray.

I hope the thieving little blighter paid for all the Diesel he stole from the mans car in Stickys Link with his permission???

Yes they are and the fuel lasts a lot longer than that supermarket stuff.
Mind you in saying that I did get good mileage out of a recent fill up at Asda
after disabling my EGR valve.

It is, but it cost me £39 to fill it up rather than the £33 last time.

And it probably won't make a blind bit of difference! I've just got 119 miles before the 1st bar went off, that's the most I have had on this car, it was on Morrisons fuel, from a branch that has a bad reputation for dodgy derv. But then again if you believe some of the guys on the c1oc shell nitro or v power or whatever it is makes their c1s able to thrash bmws and audis on the motorway as well as get 75mpg[emoji48] [emoji12] [emoji23]

They must be smoking something particularly good! I expect it to make absolutely to difference at all!

I've no idea how far it will go when it's down to one bar either. I must get a can filled and find out. It's essential for me to know this!

Until they put big plastic advertising covers on the handles (covering up 60% of the handles colour) promoting their new corporate image as being GREEN !
