What happened to the idea of a V6 Activa with a 4HP20?

Good Luck with this project Citrojim.

It will certainly make for interesting reading, when and if you can find the time after spending many hours on the project.

I think a lot of Activa owners have thought about doing this in the past, and I'm also in the early planning process of such a conversion, on a series 1. I think a definitive list of parts and a 'how to' guide would help a lot!

Following this project with enthusiasm!

I will say it'll be on my upper right arm but no more than that until it is done...
If I ever get a tattoo it will be of my blood group. I heard of somebody with a rare group having such a tattoo over his heart, and it probably saved his life. He was involved in a serious accident, and (amongst other things) needed a large blood transfusion. The surgeons sent some blood to be matched, adding that a good starting point would be the blood group in the tattoo. The blood people tested, found it matched, and were able to send a supply to the theatre faster then normal.

I was wondering Jim, when you do this conversion you are going to have a top condition 2.0 tct engine and box and driveshafts etc. Do we see a c1 tct conversion in the future :-D

Really nearly as bad as the thought I had of whacking a 3.0 v6 st220 lump into my sons dead fiesta. I'm near sure it's just going to a scrappy now. Best place for it.

I hope Jim doesn't take offence to me mentioning a C1 or worse a fiesta on his activa thread :-D

At least said fiesta is dead! Shaun was going to get another 1.4 engine, fix it and MOT it to sell, but an engine, £200 is the cheapest we can find an engine for, it needs an exhaust and a windscreen and a couple of hundred for labour. Not worth it when there is a mint one the same age which is a Ghia with leather and less miles for sale locally for £700. Would be lucky to get £600 for his one fixed up. Might get £100 for it as it is.

Thanks Active8 :-D I will find the time and I'm not planning speedy conversion at all so don't hold your breath...

Matt, that's excellent :-D, very good to know there's two of us... We must regularly compare notes, especially as we're not so far distant from each other.

 Nope, the C1 remains as it is, my reliable little daily driver.... As for the fate of the redundant TCT engine I don't know... A 205 GTi owner may like it I suppose...

It must feel very different not to be Active8ted by 8-) LHM, and enjoying the benefits of a ARCS 8-) vehicle, as a daily driver.
