Dont forget to put some axel stands under the jacking points if you are working under the car in high position. It would be awful if a pipe burst or something and the car went into low while your under it ....
Might just be a bad connection under the seat? Be the first place id check.
SOunds like your getting on with your Xantia very well

If you're playing with the airbag connectors it would be wise to disconnect the battery and leave it for half an hour before you start work
The under seat connectors are a favourite as I had this fault on mine.
It infuriates me to be wrong when I know I'm right

It was simply a matter of undoing the connectors, giving them a clean and squirting in some contact spray before joining them up.

A nice HDi Xantia really cant turn up quick enough for me!stevetheskaterboy wrote:After a few days with it, i know im going to be very happy!
This car is everything I wanted, comfortable, fun to drive, surefooted, spacious and different.
All i need to do now is keep it going perfectly!
Though finding a HDi Exclusive is looking unlikely, are they rare or just people hang onto them? You see a few 2.0 exclusives but not many HDis. Might just go for a good example of a HDi rather than wait the rest of time until an Exclusive turns up.
Could you answer a question i have? There are three button on the exclusive on the dash to the right of the steering wheel. One is for the alarm sensors, one is for the sport mode but whats the other, it has a X and an arrow above and below?
Chris.

Chris, that button is to disable the rear electric windows, stops kids having fun with them!
Another button you might see is an arrow with a car inside it. That's cruise control.
Yes, Exclusives are great and rare. Those of us who have them do hang on to them.
Get a nice HDi Exclusive with the auxillary diesel water heater and you have the ultimate.. Worth being patient for one.

Ah yes, the Xm has one of those buttons, dont know why i didnt think of that.
Only V6 Exclusives have the cruise as standard i think, im not sure if it was an option on the HDi. WOuld be nice to have, i wonder if it can be retro fitted.
The C5 HDi has cruise which i like and i fitted cruise to my previous car (a Seat) myself. Which was tricky as that model did not come with it as standard. So i guess there will be a way to fit it.
Ah, so only some HDi exclusives have the diesel heater. Something else i didnt know, why do some and not all?
I remember a very good article in the Citroenian from RichardG about his diesel heater. OUr Vw has one, its very handy in the winter months.
Hmm, going to have to keep my go cart a while longer then
Cant miss out on these toys

Your 2.0 16V has cruise control?
Well yours has it as an option in that case, as cruise was only ever standard on the V6 Exclusive. Or so my S2 brochure tells me, i have one from 98 and one from 2000, both say V6 only
I know the W reg HDi Exclusive i drove the other day certainly didnt have cruise control.
There you go again, very lucky to have such a nice example of a Xantia
Have you any pictures to share with us of your new pride and joy Exclusive? 8)

nice thread.Welcome stevetheskaterboy.
Mine also has a cruise control. It has been installed with some other "goodies" (like a CD box for 10) during car registration.Citroenmad wrote:Your 2.0 16V has cruise control?![]()
Xantia Ride and these options make long trips much shorter 8)
