Take that with a pinch of salt. Get one from Easydiagnostics here in the uk, with backup and support if you need it . Not the cheapest, but you know what you are getting and won't have to risk an in known supplier.

C5-Jack,
for info see
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/REAL-Full-Chi ... 6#shpCntId

Info I gleaned on versions was from easydiagnostics, so think I will go with them. It all stops this year apparently as previously mentioned. Thanks to Marc - and for late versions 'easy' are amongst the cheapest anyway...

Harry - suggest you stick with the updates supplied with Easy - as this will cover your C5 easily and beyond. Patching further can be a minefield! Good luck.

Hi All, I think I was running version 7.6 (I decided up install the next patch about 3 months ago and not used it since) diagbox without any problems and installed the version 7.65, now I get an error message "connect your measuring card and validate" I have connected it to my car without any luck, still the same message - any idea?
have got to go back to the earlier version or do I have another problem?

That usually comes up when you have selected the measurement option from the top menu. If you back out of that or cancel with red cross, can you go back to the man menu and choose the global test?
Also. when you applied the update, when it finished did you restart the PC then go into diagbox when it booted up for it to apply the update?

Marc, was in touch with Easydiagnostics and was told they sold the last one just after I had spoken to them  . They too suggested phoning me when stock arrives! Thanks for your attention - appreciated  . Next problem may well be trying to load the software.
On a similar topic - docbackup and Sedre! Loads ok but jumps dvd2. Then when running Sedre, calls for dvd2 and loads from it. Can it not load all 3 dvd's? Understand that Sedre must be uninstalled before updating, but what about docbackup? Can that be installed over the existing version? Want to go from 2012 tp 2013, which I understand is the last and final version before it goes on-line only!

Hi Harry, no, both of these like clean installations and the software should be fully removed and the directories that they created too. If not you're likely get some corruption down the line.
When installing Sedre will go on first with installer remaining in the background. A successful installation will ask for all 3 DVDs and will take ages depending on your PC speed, hard drive and optical drive.
Also there are some special instructions about Sedre docbackup co-existing with Diagbox, avoidable if you install Sedre and docbackup first. I actually run Sedre and docbackup on a virtual machine as I use it more on my desktop than the Lexia laptop, so they are separate.
Easy should have some stock back in tomorrow I think Sharon said.

Hi Marc, did remove all software and directory's. Think it requires the register altering too, as it does not ask for any install codes but just goes straight in; and goes from disk 1 to disk 3. Annoying.
I am running this on a separate PC running Win 7.
My Lexia is on a laptop running XP Pro SP3, so no conflicts there.
