The same way as when you upgrade the maps - no difference. Replacing the MicroSD card will remove mapping data, so just reinstall maps on USB from your old download, or purchase from Peugeot Navigation:

The maps one the old SD card aregone, since corrupt dueto the SD card falure. So I bought one from the website you proposed. Then copied to the USB stick following the installation instructions. However when attaching the USB stick to the RT6, the map installation opens with an empty list. After complaining, I was told that these maps are just upgrades and I have to perform a base map installation through a certified dealer. The picture attached shows the empty list presented by the RT6 when inserting the USB stick containing the purchused map data. No map can be selected! It seems that the RT6 is searching for maps already installed. After replacing the SD card, obviously none are present. Would be nice if someone could help me getting out of this loop hole.

Best regards

I've never heard of this happening before to be honest and from the hundreds of comments on the thread, it doesn't seem to have been an issue for others, so not quite sure what to make of it.

The dealers don't have maps, that's for sure - they will refer you to the same site.

Do you have a screenshot of what's on the USB key, so I can see if there's anything obvious there...

And here is a screenshot of the receipt of the map I have purchused from that website.
Hope that I manage to get beyond that empty database screen from the RT6 during installation.

Many thanks & regards

Also, you need to alter your view settings so that you can see hidden folders and file extensions.

Hi,

Please find attached a more detailed listing of the USB Stick content. Hidden files and folders are turned on.

I wonder how the menu screen of the RT6 looks like if they are installing maps on a system containing absolutely no maps i.e. after installing the firmware 2.86 on a new Sd card. Does anybody on this forum remember the screen dialog of the RT6 when connecting the USB stick containing the maps? Does it looks like the same as shown on the picture on the previous post?

Best regards

The file extensions are still not showing. For example CCT.DAT is really CCT.DAT.inf and CCT is CCT.DAT!

PM following soon.

Hi,

Problem solved!
When the RT6 presents the empty list, all you have to do is to switch to "Kart. act." (German language for map actualisation). However, in order to do this, you do not have to use the jog/dial knob on the RT6! Instead, you have to use "cross shaped" button on the RT6 as highlighted on the attached picture. I did not came to this idea, since normally on the RT6 you navigate through the menus always with the jog/dial knob.

So sorry for all the noise concerning this on the forum.

Maybe a suggestion to all who need to replace the SD-card because of black screen and constantly trying to boot from CD:
I would go for an 16GB Industrial grade quality. The application of a SD card in a car device is definetly more an industrial application than a home entertainment application. The industrial grade cards have a larger temperature operating range and are designed to be more robust.

Again thanks for all the feedback!

Best regards!

Hi. I have black screen too. But when there is a black screen how can I select "Yes" or "No" to copy the user files to the flash disk? Apologies if it is already answered.

Can I also get links for the ISO of the V2.86b firmware please?

I managed to sort everything out. It now works - with a 32gb microsd.

Many thanks for sharing.

A 32GB card fixed your black screen problem?

Great, no problem and thanks for the update, glad the guide worked for you. Fortunately for you the installation of the operating system retained the vehicle configuration files, which is usually found if you already have a later version of the firmware before the problems started. If you had an older firmware then it would likely have reset the unit to factory defaults - and the other thing is if you have already lost your display functionality, then you can't copy or restore the user files from Mirascripts.

Anyway, thanks for the update.
