Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads

Unread post by Sloppysod »

I have posted this question here just to keep it all in one place.

I have Diagbox 7.6 (Lexia), but only connected it to my car to make sure it worked, so as of yet I have not used it to do something.
I have just bought the Citroen 13 pin Dedicated tow bar electric kit for my car, but before I fit the kit does anyone know of a step by step guide that will show me how to register the wiring kit into the car,and roughly how long should it take?.

Thanks in advance

Diagbox Guidance

Unread post by Sloppysod »

Can someone help please?.
I have read, on this and other sites, that it is possible to change some basic configurations of my car (C5 X7 Post 2011) using the Diagbox and a security number. Well I have the number which I believe is 03114 but what I do not know is how do I get to the screen where I have to enter the code and then access the advance configurations, like changing the amount of time it takes to ego into economy mode from 10 minutes to 30, and how long it takes to dim the interior lights after closing the doors.

All comments appreciated
Thanks in advance

For what its worth, my experience with diagbox,
security code not required, it just changes entered value.
The 2 options you want to change are not availabe in the configuration.

You were right Tom, the options were not there so that is that, however, a parameter I did find and thought of being useful was having the side lights come-on with the running lights, I sometimes live/drive under the summer darkness of a tree canopies so having lights on at the back, by default, I thought was a good idea, (a-la-Volvo) - let's just hope the bulbs last if not it will be back to standard again!!

From my experience with C5 config be very carefull, change only one thing at a time and
run it for a few days. You don't always get what you think will happen.
Then if you notice something unexpected has happened don't chase thet problem
change the config back to original.
Things like loosing the indicator bleep noise when you change the number of doors to unlock with key fob.
I know sounds stupid but the unexpected can happen with the config, and sometimes what Citroen call some of the options are
not what you exprct them to be. Take care and enjoy the game.
Regards Tom.

Thanks for the warning, when ever i change anything I write down the path so I can get back to it easily, shame you can not do a '"Restore to factory settings" like you can your phone.
Thanks again

There is always the option of doing a BSi reset;

£50 is a 'steal' in my opinion ... i've still got my Lexia2 workstation and it's in worse conditon than that but i'd not be tempted to part with it at that price.

Hi everyone,

I want to see my car's Fuel Trim data (STFT, LTFT) but PP2000 & Lexia don't show this important parameter.

My engine is 1.8 16V XU7JP4 LFY engine (Bosch MP7.3).

How can i see this parameter?

I don't understand why PSA's exclusive diagnostic software doesn't include Fuel Trim Data!

I have just installed Peugeot Sedre and DocBackup (09/2011) on a VirtualBox XP VM, and discovered a couple of things that are not clear in the instructions:

1. If using Alcohol 120% to mount the iso images (I am not 100% sure that it is needed), then Alcohol 120% must be installed and run on the host machine, not the VM, and the resulting virtual drive shared with the VM.

2. After installation, DocBackup would not load until the contents of the SEDREAP\Firebird directory were copied over the DocBackupAP\Firebird dierectory.
Do the copy right after a reboot so that none of the files are locked.

Diagbox and Windows 10

Unread post by Gibbo2286 »

Anyone had any luck making Diagbox work with Windows 10.

I picked up the latest version from an Ebay seller which was said to work with W7-10, I can get it all on the laptop but it says "Installing online updates." It can't do that because it's offline as recommended by the seller. (Never allow online updates.)

I've tried all the compatibility settings with the same result.

When I fire up Diagbox on my netbook, it clearly says not to install Windows 10. I will try and note down exactly what it says next time I use it.

My seller said something similar, but I've tried on W7, W8 and W10, and failed each and every time, probably at the same spot like you...

I decided to install it on a XP VM-box on a W10 Asus T100 and works beautifully ;)

On some other forums people claim that it works with Win 10 (32-bit), but like DiagBox is clearly showing in the info section, don't install it on Win 10 ... I'm sticking to Win 7 on a diag-dedicated notebook just to be on the safe side
