Have a 'Rosie', no extra charge.

There are after all blue roses (Blue Moon), one of my favourites.

Plenty to go at there Steve excellent work, so I'll close the "blue theme" with an inappropriate song, which I always thought was " Me and you and a dog named Blue", but isn't :-D

Remember it well, always quite liked it, and still gets an occasional airing on the car radio.

Bring on the trivia songfacts...
https://www.songfacts.com/facts/lobo/me ... -named-boo

Lobo told this story in a 2013 interview: "I was working on several songs, including a tune about traveling around the country with this girl, and I was trying to rhyme 'you and me.' Now 'me and you' would have been easier, but I was trying to do it with proper grammar. I couldn't find anything to rhyme that fit what I wanted to say in the song. Finally, after I got back home to Florida, I decided to turn the phrase around to 'me and you.' I was thinking about it, sitting in a room that had a big sliding glass door overlooking the back yard. My big German shepherd dog: Boo, came running around the corner and looked in at me. I said: 'Well, now, that's kinda freaky. How about putting 'a dog named Boo' into the song?' That's literally how it came about. All of a sudden the song really started coming together. I hadn't been to any of the places mentioned in the song except Georgia, but I just kept putting in places that sounded far away like Minneapolis and LA."

Radio 2 was a bit disappointing in Jo Whiley's Thursday Theme of "The Wizard of Oz". Set of quite duff choices especially with respect to "The Tin Man"....cant even remember what it was but I know what it wasn't.

This. "Tin Man" from America. This followed on from a bit of ignorance by Jeremy Vine of the "sample" of America's "Ventura Highway" in Janet Jackson's "Someone to call my lover" played on his show.

Yes the previous post. How about copying Jo Whiley's theme of "The Wizard of Oz" in any shape form as you wish and coming up with some better tracks, than the radio 2 audience managed the other night. (85 years-ish since its release)

I think I'll consume rather than play myself. I have after all contributed "Tin Man" by America which was nice, never heard it for ages.
