Yttrium - it's made appearances on the OTCL before so should be familiar to some, but to the very few of you out there who've not come across it before.....

"Yttrium is a chemical element with the symbol Y and atomic number 39. It is a silvery-metallic transition metal chemically similar to the lanthanides and has often been classified as a "rare-earth element". Yttrium is almost always found in combination with lanthanide elements in rare-earth minerals, and is never found in nature as a free element. 89Y is the only stable isotope, and the only isotope found in the Earth's crust.

The most important uses of yttrium are LEDs and phosphors, particularly the red phosphors in television set cathode ray tube displays. Yttrium is also used in the production of electrodes, electrolytes, electronic filters, lasers, superconductors, various medical applications, using up odd letters in Scrabble, and tracing various materials to enhance their properties.

That's one game that I'll never need a refresher on, we used to play for money per point, I think it was 50p + bonus cash for a Yahtzee which doubled for a second one and trebled for a third etc. Most Fridays of Yahtzee ended up with one of us coughing up £30-50. I daresay it worked out pretty even over the years as did the other two games which had similar stake levels. Good times and great games!!

Yep, that's her. She has done all sorts and was superb in 'The Cry' and 'The Serpent' but she will always be Clara, just as Karen Gillan will always be Amy Pond (I had to look her real name up )
