Well.......I'm now back to Lexia, works at moment so as they 'if it ain't broke....'.

May play with diagbox on the old laptop at some stage, usual Acer broken hinges, will only run on mains but still fires up enough to give it a go.

i've now given up trying Diagbox....keeps throwing up errors after first activation input...PP2000 i think?

tried all ways of files, discs and the final straw was the continual messages of low space on disk

luckily i don't live in a Flat!! just the simple Lump hammer for it

Bombed interface while reinstall went past midnight pluged lead in after installing 6.01 which worked, but after next up grade and changing true to false can't connect to interface( I did not even have a drink!). So how do I get one of easydiags interfaces to work now? or is it shot. I know its probably already been posted before but not where I've looked, can someone please point me in the right direction or do I need to contact Jim for new firmware.

Thanks

largeur_ecran is horizontal resolution, hauteur_ecran is vertical resolution. I too have my vertical resolution set to 600 for a 1024x600 netbook screen! By the way I have run Lexia/Diagbox on a Samsung NC110 and it does a pretty good job as long as you have 2GB of ram. (The one I was using did, but I'm not sure if they all come with that - I was using Windows 7 Professional 32 bit as well)
I finally got round to doing the resolution this morning and tried it on the C6, wonderful, working as it should be....... thanks again Simon.

Well I'm trying to install Diagbox 7.02 on my laptop, as my friend has Citroen DS5 4x4 hybrid, and the car doesn't start. Previously I had Diagbox 5.xx which was working fine and presumable I have a Chinese clone, but I not sure, as I bought it second hand about a year and half ago. Didn't expect to work but something curious happened...

When I installed Diagbox 7.02 (many thanks Mandrake for your link =D> ), and connected the interface (not connected to any car) this came up:

I'm curious... Trying to diagnose Xantia, no success, but when trying to diagnose DS5 it looked like it works. No dialogue with any of control units (as the car was not connected), but it was trying to make dialogue with no errors...

Is there a way to determine which interface do I have?

Well a bit o research and voila!, my clone interface is now compatible with Diagbox 7.xx.

Anyone who is also interested in doing so, here is how. Contact member nlc (_http://www.tlemcen-electronic.com/forum/showthread.php?t=15953_) and ask him to send you an update for the interface, which you can load through USB (instructions included). It changes the serial number (at least the last letter to /C, which is not blacklisted), so you can use Diagbox above 5.29 with the interface. He asks for a small fee for his work.

I updated the interface yesterday and now it works with Diagbox 7.02, at least on my Xantia, didn't yet try it another car.

Hope someone finds this info useful and saves him a lot of googling 8-)

That's great news Xantos. :)

Now that your firmware has been re-flashed to run 7.xx it should run versions right up to the very latest. (I have no idea what that is now, I'm still running 7.02 as it's all I need for my Xantia)

Well I can confirm that it works with other cars too. Yesterday I have diagnosed DS5 hybrid 4x4 without problems.

Here is a link where you can download Word file, which contains links for downloading DiagBox 7.xx. Hope Mr. Scarymistake from CarTehnology forum doesn't mind

I have a Xantia and running diagbox 7.02. Is there any advantage for me for upgrading to higher versions?

Apologies if these have been discussed before, my forum search came up blank.

This looks like it does the Job of the Lexia without the need for a laptop. They are a little more expensive than the Lexia alone but cheaper than Lexia+laptop.

Has anyone used one? Do they work? Would they work for the likes of recoding the radio?

I may be needing to recode and set the parameters on a new head unit, I could just find someone to sort it for me but either a Lexia or one of these could be a useful investment.

The ones I have seen are overpriced OBD2 units. Doubtful that you can change the VIN in a radio with these.
A ten year old laptop (Pentium M, CoreDuo) with an ok battery costs <100 Euro/GBP. With a lexia clone (cable) from the far east you have all the options.
