Passed my car test (3rd time) back in '79, in a mk2 escort, I drove up a 2 way road with loads of cars parked on the left, got to the end to turn right and stayed in the righthand land, obviously thinking I'd just driven up a 1 way road. When I got back to the test centre I was asked every possible question there is about road markings before being told I'd passed.
As a note, my 2nd test, when reversing around a corner, I put the car in reverse without the clutch, probably because I'd been drivingan Austin 1300 auto for some of my 'family' lessons
But, both tests that I passed were 10th December, but 8 years apart what a conincedence....eh? .
