With regard to the DS restoration, there was an offer made a while back and I seem to recall Malcolm expressing an interest with just the DS in question.
If not Malcolm then certainly someone proposed it.

Now this is an 'off the wall' idea, and of course would need the family's permission, I hope they don't think it's inappropriate, please accept my apologies if it does offend.

What about approaching Channel 4's 'For the Love of Cars' programme to see if they would restore Malcolm's DS and do a show about it? I don't think they've done anything with hydropneumatic suspension. If there is another series they may do the same as the last one so the cars are auctioned off and the proceeds go to the family.

Just a thought, it would be a nice tribute if we could pull it off.

Hi Juliet, there is also car sos. It's the show where they take the car without the owner knowing, restore it and then hand it back in some grand gesture. I think it may be a channel 4 program also. Then Malcolms family could get to keep it and use it as a tribute.

Happy to give that number a ring on Monday as well and see who it is, I don't think it's Ant Anstead's number (For the Love of Cars).
Got a dodgy hip and the car is awaiting a clutch cable at the moment so I can't go walking or driving so it'll give me something to do

It's going to take a while to get used to no Citronut. He had a great attitude and made me laugh loads in my chats with him. It's a great shame and Malcom will be sorely missed by myself, the whole forum and many many more.
