Probably not Luke as one was very low when we arrived to look at it and soon topped up ok but Jo warning iirc on the dash.

Could be a blessing for the next mot maybe ;)

You would notice the pressures being displayed on startup anyway so yes, probably been deactivated! Not an MOT issue thankfully, but you get a right ear bending from the woman behind the dash - "front right tyre, pressure abnormal, slow down! Readjust pressure as soon as possible!" Great fun!

Ha ha, Im sure his Financial Director does that enough so no wonder he turned it off on its first proper drive with him :D

On another note is this diagnostic port a proper OBD one or stupid Renault one??

" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I only ask as VInce has put me onto a Guy in manchester who does the reading for £35 + bum rapes, but as its a 30-4 mile round trip for him he is wondering if he can get a cheap one to just read the codes? I know it wouldnt be as in depth as a renault unit but would help him possibly locate the fault he is getting which i reckon is just a duff sensor.

Found a genuine boot mat but really need a tray for him and also got the dog guard almost sorted for peanuts.

Did they actually do boot trays or just mat's from the boutique luke?

The dam renault accessory website wont run in Nightly and i dont have IE installed on this machine :D

I tried to get a boot mat for my 2006 C5 hatch two years ago from Citroen, they didn't sell them then. I would be interested to know if Renault still hold accessory stock items for 2002 cars!

A tidy looking example . We loved our 1.9 Dci Privelage Laguna II , in 5 1/2 yrs it never missed a beat , believe it or not it NEVER even put an EML up in all the time we had it . It was getting ready for a tyre sensor when we sold it but that's about it really . I sold it to a friend and he loves it , economical , powerful & comfy with all the gizmos too .

I have a basic OBD code reader and to be honest, I've never tried it on my Laguna... but it works on the Meg II so I'd see no reason it wouldn't work.

I'm pretty sure only a rubber mat was made. Renault are pretty good at hanging on to old stuff, I got a rubber boot mat for the Safrane for a fiver that had been knocking around since 1998. Always worth a go!

Thanks Luke.

Well the fault has not re-occured since but he is going to have a right job on fitting the new bonnet cable as it routes to the right of the engine bay, round the battery behind the master cylinder(on the french side of the car as well!) and then through in behind the dash!

Anyone got any tips? I've suggest gaffa tapeing the ends together and pulling it through INTO the dash area due to the grommet layout but there must be an easier way for sure??

PS its snapped at the cable release end in the foot well :(

Another note is the MPG s poo, doing about 30 around town. He is looking at cleaning the EGR out to see if it helps but i reckon the BioD will help flush out the other lingering rubbish and have suggested maybe it needs a good service as well and italian tune up a little. Maybe the battery being powered off for a bit will reset the ECU and clear some bad behaviour out of it and bring it back up.

Hi,
just looked at the photos of the car, looks in good condition for the money.

What are the red & black small buttons on the steering column for?

Cheers.

My Laguna throws up the injection warning light every now & then, there's no drop in performance (Limp home mode) or anything like that, I think it's because I have 1 glow plug that isn't working. I know I have a plug off as I tested each one, haven't bothered replacing the plug as the car starts & runs fine.

From one £30 fill up to the next the computer shows about 42 - 45mpg around the doors, this is a mixture of dual carriageway and town driving, on a motorway run of 200 miles resetting the computer before setting off this goes up to about 56 -58mpg, I do drive like a Vicar on a Sunday School outing though :)
I've checked the mpg figures by filling the tank & then refilling when doing a motorway run and the computer seems to be quite accurate.

Cheers.
