Yes, well i dont think the C5 is an expensive car to insure really. My other car at the moment is a 03reg Seat Arosa (micro machine) 1.4TDi (excellent engine) with group 4 insurance. My 04 reg C5 VTR 2.0HDi 110 is in group 9. However the C5 is only £60 per year more to insure than the Seat. Crazy, but good.
Ive had quotes for Xanitas and Xms, which are up to £150 more than my C5 to insure ... which i dont understand?
Im 22, soon 23, driving since July 2004, 4 years no claims, no previous accidents and no penalty points (ive never lived have i!), 15K a year for social and commuting etc. The quote im going with is the RAC quote, for £550. Which should be cheaper once i can get my RAC membership number to work. So i dont think thats too bad, just will be annoying losing the ability to drive other cars.
