Aside from the obvious hazards of course.

Yup, if I remember correctly, if you try to do something when the engine is running that affects drivability it will give you a warning. (I think for things like going into the ABS actuator tests etc).

Done it many times now, glancing at gearbox and engine stats, but yes, the obvious hazards are rather hazardous unless you have a co-pilot! Just be really careful if you don't... apart from the risk of running into someone/something, if you pull up beside a cop you might get nicked. :twisted:

Since the odd behaviour I have only happens at low revs I shall only be peeking at the parameters whilst crawling along in traffic etc. Technically still illegal but not as hazardous.

For anyone using Diagbox on a Netbook, I can highly recommend Netbook Resolution Customiser. It forces the display to be 1024x768 and fit in the screen without the need for scrolling.

The result is a little ugly, but it works brilliant, download here:

If diagbox for your C5 fires up Lexia (the big yellow button app) then I wouldn't worry about it too much. I don't think there have been any updates for the Lexia portion for quite some time.

6.36 is fairly recent (earlier this year) so you're not too far out of date. Mine still runs 7.04 and I don't currently see much incentive to get it up to the latest (7.16 I think)

Probably in the glovebox, far left hand side, maybe behind a removable panel (I know Bandit12's is behind a panel, mine isn't but since mine is a LHD, it's in the smaller driver's side glove box).

Where in Kent are you? I'm in Gravesend for the next two-ish weeks, so if you need help getting it up and running we could possibly meet up.

Yes had vehicle selection screen and could choose my car it all was working last night but without the lexia plugged in but as soon as I hooked it up to the USB it downloaded something to the box and then said I need to validate which I cancelled and it just hung with a black screen, tried a few times and kept saying needs to validate.

Does it need to be plugged into the car before getting it all setup right if not il have a go this afternoon with it indoors.

On my Easy Diagnostics Lexia it also asks to validate, so I let it, and it then works.

Pass on that, I cannot remember at the moment.

However, there is a possibility that the update to the box might (only might, mind you) have caused the glitch. In the instructions I received with my Lexia, step 17 reads as follows;

STEP 17. This file MUST BE MODIFIED before connecting the interface.

OPEN C:\AWROOT\BIN\LAUNCHER and edit AP file to read as below

MAJ_COM=TRUE MUST BE CHANGED TO READ MAJ_COM=FALSE
then CLOSE, SAVE, and exit. (Please check MAJ_COM after every update).

I know that Simon (Mandrake) has found that this may not be necessary, but I have no personal experience on this, as I followed the instructions.
