I agree. Point is the car being here is a heart-tug between restoring it or using it as a V6 Activa donor. Once it's gone the decision is made.PavlosV6 wrote:CitroJim wrote:I'll be even happier when the remains of the donor is gone too...
Look at it like this. The car had a fantastic life, was brought back from the edge once and then thrived again for a good few years. Soon it'll be living on in a V6 Activa...

Are you talking about a car or a very much loved pet about to be euthanised?CitroJim wrote:Look at it like this. The car had a fantastic life, was brought back from the edge once and then thrived again for a good few years.

Jim, One Activa v6 manual is worth (morally) more than a V6 and a 2ltr Activa added together.....shoot it, strip the bu44er and scrap it ass. 1+1x [act.v6] =4-1=3x fun profit.

There is a whole plethora of abbreviations and codes used when working a morse link... It amuses me that youngster think they invented it with their 'txt spk' on mobile phones...

Jim, the kids think they invented computers and gaming.....LOL,
Tell them about paper input cards and sitting in the pub playing Defender on the table whilst keeping the Fags and Crisps off the screen so you can see the game just draws blank looks
Just remember they (mostly) have NO CLUE about anything in the past because they see little value in "old stuff" or the influence it has had.we are the lucky generation.
Give it 10-20 years and imagine what Old Folks homes will be like....WiFi wired to the hilt and Led Zeppelin and Bob Marley coming from the windows

Re: Citrojim's Xantia V6, C1 and Activa Tales
Hi Jim, I do realise you were the owner. I went to Wetherby four years ago and chatted to you about my search for a good V6 Xantia, but you weren't interested in selling then. Anyway, I'm going to SORN the C6 at the end of the month and start driving the Xantia. Still haven't seen it (been a bit busy) but it sailed through an MOT and I've got a quote from Mr A's best paint man for sorting the doors and tailgate - to be done before the winter sets in. Only expense so far is a replacement fan regulator (?) and the MOT. I'll report back when I've driven it for a while...CitroJim wrote:Hi Steve, that's good newsI take it he's happy with it? I've not heard but then as It was sold on my behalf he may not even realise I was once its owner...
It'll be quite like old times having a Mauritius Blue Xantia. My earlier one was a late S1 Activa, bought new, chipped, and run for about 150,000 miles before it needed either disposal or major expense.
All the best for the V6 project....

Hi David,
Good to hear
All the best with the V6.
The Activa V6 conversion is progressing, albeit slowly, on account of lack of time but progress never the less

I've often thought of a cantilever car port Sticky, even to discussing and getting neighbourly approval and at my gaff you know how critical that is. We have even discussed a twin one...
