Not read every page in this thread, but have done a search for Atomic Blonde and it came back blank...

No-one else spotted the series 2 CX in that and got excited like me, then?

I have just seen the latest Wilkinson Sword razor advert. A groom wakes up late, and has to shave (using, obviously, a Wilkinson Sword razor) in a taxi while going down an uneven road. The taxi is a Citroen C5 X7 with the hydro pneumatic suspension.

The three villains make off in a Citroen DS in this 1962 British film.....Go to Blazes

Came from one of those "lists" the "Top 12 British Cinematic Car Chases" on the Lancaster Insurance site. Quite a lot of interesting classic car content on that site.

One other film which made the list was "Hell Drivers" which must have made an impression on me, never seen it for decades but still remember the reckless, and somewhat sinister driving of those trucks...

The film "Sorcerer" was on one of the Channel 4 stations, and (being set in 1977) had, during the French scenes, a LOT of French cars. As it was on late (started at 22:45) I was not able to watch much, but I saw quite a few.

Including this old Farina with a nice patina

Anyone who finds that they can't sleep and wants something to occupy a bit of time could do worse than spend some time on the Reelstreets website http://www.reelstreets.com/
Then and now shots for various scenes for nearly 2000 films :) You can either search by film or by location. :-D

Ay up,

Just watched Catch Me If You Can. A rollicking good film with some Police DS and the odd 2CV.

Worth it for DiCaprio's face when his sweet Southern Belle nurse turns into a raving nymphomaniac!!!!!

Netflix now have all the Prime Suspect series, so watched the first one last night and Helen Mirren has a new (at the time) BX 19 GTi 4X4, while the others are running around in their Cavaliers and Astras.

The car is actually SORN at present.

Well, I know they took their name from a character in a Jane Fonda film!

They showed one of the photos the band took from their really early days - the vehicle they had then was a CX Familiale, they reckoned it was absolutely ideal.... fast and comfortable :-D
