I've still got a couple of unanswered bits of trivia simmering in the background.

The Fictional Barry Cade's avatar/sketch/photo which accompanied his Car Mechanics articles.

(I could quite easily resolve it by actually buying a car mechanics magazine from e-bay for the appropriate period.) but prefer the serendipitous approach, and by chance I will come across a bundle of such magazines on my travels, and imagine the unbridled joy of such a discovery!

The other one is the impossible whatsthisthen? which I have never passed again since I photographed it under the tarpaulin. That one is going to be a case of discretely revisiting and peeking under the covers on the next occasion

PS Not forgetting I need someone to go to Jersey and photograph the AA box at Trinity to complete the final box in the FCF AA Box challenge!

As far as the Cade picture is concerned I am going to Kempton Park autojumble on Saturday in the hope of tracking down Henry Cole but i will keep an eye out for the said Mr Cade.
As to the impossible whatsthisthen it really is impossible because even if we get it right we won't know

I like the reasoning and you are correct with a former power station!! The reference to Peter was following up his water pumping system post, nothing to do with area. A further clue may be to do with my trip in 2017!! I did suggest there may be more from it to come

To assist others Mick, here's the description you gave us of your 2017 holiday!

We had a "big" holiday in 2017, flew to Chicago for a couple of days and then took the train to Seattle going through Montana en route, then took a cruise from Seattle up the Alaskan coast calling at Juneau and Icy Straight Point, Victoria, and back to Seattle. Then we flew home via Newark with 18 minutes to change flights, that was hairy!!

I forwarded that to my Jersey correspondent and he suggested "If I want a picture of the AA box I'll have to go and take one and buy him a beer or two while I'm there", so don't hold your breath!!
