Well done, it is indeed Cannington. It was on the Axminster to Lyme Regis line. When we moved here all the infrastructure was still in place, one of the biggest marshalling yards in the south west at Axminster. Its now an industrial estate but when the first businesses opened you had to walk across the railway lines to reach them!

Several attempts have been made to re open the line privately but sadly have all failed, they have now demolished some of the bridges. When we came the station was still at Lyme, it was opposite the school that our grand daughter now attends.

There was also another branch line to Seaton, part of it is now occupied by the Seaton tramway but Seaton junction station is still there.

Sadly that means I have no more excuses, for STMBO, to avoid selling them so they are now officially up for sale!

Yes I think you're right there Neil, I might get away with one of those but the trouble there is that I doubt if the total I raise for selling my two would be enough for either of those. Prices are so strong for classic small bikes, I might get away with a Honda PC50 because they are not loved but I might as well stick with the bus pass!! :)

The Honda is £1350 and the RF £1650. Full details available via PM if anyone is interested! (Assuming this reply doesn't get biffed to the for sale or wanted topic :-D 8-[ )

Might be better to put it in the FSOW forum so it doesn't get buried.

I didn't think it would be right to actually list them in the FSOW as they are just not related to French cars. They only went on here because I was celebrating two passed MOTs and I like the pictures!! :)

Well I wonder if your train of thought has gone from Bloodhound to another breed of dog.

Now is that is a dog mascot. Bit too blurry, but a Willy's Overland Whippet might fit the bill, but I think not.

I didn't have a clue what you were talking about James but after a quick bit of DDGing I can see where you are coming from:

Now Mick, would this be a completely irrelevant fact or is it likely to lead me to id the car.

"The Coseley factory also made Captain George Eyston's world-land-speed-record car Thunderbolt, which took the record in 1937"

That came from this page and the grills are very similar...

Yes Neil, you sussed out my thought train and came up with the goods. The history site is very informative I thought. My picture is actually a Bean 14 Tourer from, I believe, 1925. I photographed it either at Beaulieu or at the CSMA museum in Bourton on the Water, I'm not certain which, but Beaulieu is favourite. I have a particular interest in the make!!! :)
