Excellent Sticky... Looking forward to hearing the news it's all road legal and ready for registration... A nice private plate would be good. See if you can get A6TVA from that nice gentleman in Swansea

$$$$.....nope, that is a "nice to have", with what could be gathered, I feel I would just be insulting the man so would not make an offer sadly.

Same here... I felt incredibly cheeky when I made an offer for the plate on my Activa.. Luckily it was accepted but I did expect a punch in the face!

Historically, A6TVA may have ended up on Activa... Many years ago the car came up on ebay and had the biding gone differently...

I do hope that if he scraps the car (if forced to, I am sure) that the offer may be made on the forum (by closed PM Bids) prior to that happening....would be a shame to give it to the scrap man or back to the DVLA

I trust so and it will make an excellent V6 conversion candidate given it has (I believe) engine issues or am I confusing it with another from that stable?

In any case, it (and the other Activas) must be saved at all costs I feel and if necessary I would work to see that happen...

Doesn't the car it's coming off have to be registered and have an MOT?

At the very least it must be SORN'ed to retain the plate.?? I think

I recall Jim rebuilding and MOTing an Activa to get his current plate off it. Have the rules changed?

That was certainly the case when I rescued N2XAN Mike.. That car was a challenge as it was in such poor condition but it went on for another two years and two more MOTs after I did the necessary. It was the car I learned a lot of tricks on...

I don't believe the rules have changed but worth investigation perhaps...

?? So what happens ? the plate is "locked" until the car is scrapped then ?...assuming nobody MOT''s it that is
I am also assuming all the cars in Wales are SORN'ed
