That's the one, thanks for saving me searching!! Beautiful town and the coffee is so special that my daughter bought me a take home coffee kit with Rudesheim cups, mega spoons and the necessary secret ingredients to make it! I'll have to try it sometime!! :)

I'm sure you can think of a musical link Mick to take us from Rudesheim to a Pickled Egg Jukebox selection.
we do have
"Siegfrieds Mechanisches Musikkabinett" in Rudesheim, and there is some connection with Brahms.

I reckon I will come up with something.....

See, I quite understand the kids not pleased with the state of the planet and their climate change stomp.

BUT........

It really grates my cheese when I'm seen as some kind of murderer ](*,)

Yes I drive a V8 and it can use a shed load of fuel....

However, my particular car was converted to burn LPG back in the day so when I went for the last MoT test (end of June 2019) I asked the tester to check my emissions.

"No need! It's LPG!"

"OK. indulge me!"

So, being 20 years old and a 4.0 V8 engine, I must murder around 300 Polar Bears per week #-o

As it turns out, I am "allowed" 3.50 on the CO but in fact I was 0.00

Hydrocarbons on my car, I'm "allowed" 1200 parts per million (one thousand two hundred parts per million) and my car was..........7!

That's right, out of all that allowance, I was 7.

That leaves 1193 parts still allowed... [-X

So, yes! I am super pleased to be one of millions doing his bit to save the planet, even though the majority see some fat mess riding roughshod over the little people when in fact, I am one of the cleanest drivers out there 8-)

Ell Pee Gee, just sayin' :geek:
Has anyone seen the plot? :?

Less well known as Flatford Mill, better known as 'The Hay Wain', but more accurately known as Willy Lott's cottage :)

Well done sir! The water level was a bit lower when it was painted. Didn't know the AA went back that far. Interesting though.

Indeed I do, Consul 375 I believe? My neighbour had one in maroon over grey, lovely comfortable car at the time!! Nearest I came to owning one of those was a Zephyr 4 for a few months before the boot floor fell out, having been used as a tow car for my sailing dinghy!! :)

I think Peter was more interested in the Perkins conversion, had a few vehicles with the Perkins 4/108 engine.

J2 -4-99 conversion.jpg
Here is another one.

Yes, although I liked the car as well. Perkins did a complete conversion kit, down to the last detail for practically every British car. I fitted one in a '56 Vauxhall Cresta in 1959 - very slow but very economical.

I did have a whole set of these but most got lost in our move here in 1970.
