Re: What is Bashe 5? + Diagbox Info

Unread post by Mandrake »

I don't have 6.01 installed (I'm on 6.35) so I'm not sure whether a list of files would be that helpful, but now I know you're using a standard 6.01 install here is the basic process:

0) Unplug the interface and make sure it is not plugged in until the very end.

1) Run the main installer, after it installs, launches Diagbox and prompts to activate, exit the app without activating.

2) Extract Lexia.rar to C:\, extract PP2000.rar to C:\, extract PPDIAG.rar to C:\APP.

3) Copy the file PatchV6 to C:\AWROOT\BIN\FI\CACHE, double click to launch it from there, press patch, it should come up and say that its patched successfully.

4) Launch diagbox, choose manual activation, enter:

customer code: scary01
activation: 12345678901234567890123456789012
Profile: 02ffffff
Address: *
Postcode: *
Car Phone: 0

Diagbox 6.01 should now be working. For updating I would recommend to stay away from the built in internet updating feature and download scarymistake's updaters...

For each update you run the updater which then prompts to reboot, after rebooting launch diagbox and it will apply the update. Once the update is applied exit diagbox, and if you have further updates rinse and repeat.

After you're finished everything but before you plug in the interface, open a file in notepad called:

C:\AWROOT\BIN\LAUNCHER\AP

It should be a text configuration file, near the beginning find the line MAJ_COM=TRUE and change it to MAJ_COM=FALSE then save the file.

Only now connect the interface. When using Lexia, launch Diagbox with the interface connected, however just before you press the Lexia button unplug the interface and plug it back in.

Hope that helps. :)

Yes it does .. Thanks Simon
Just how much of the Diagbox programe is available on the internet.. I've just started exploring it and come across diagnostic documentation and mechanics handbook can I use the internet to get to these documents or is it advisable to avoid any internet contact?

As far as I know the diagnostic documentation and mechanics handbook in Diagbox is internet based and requires legitimate registered copies of Diagbox, so I don't think we're able to use them. At least I haven't found a way. Sorry. :(

If you're looking for general diagnostic/troubleshooting/repair information (eg service manuals) it is possible to find copies of "Docbackup / Sedre" on the internet (sometimes called Citroen service box) from the same sort of sources as Diagbox. It's a PITA to install and confusing to use but it is very comprehensive and useful. Basically electronic versions of the service manuals and wiring diagrams.

Re: Lexia group discount through moderator?

Just got my Lexia operational to-day. Two questions - Please pardon my ignorance but-
(1) What is the R.P.O number- or where can it be found ? i have taken a chance and input the last 5 Digits of the Chassis No. this allowed the program to go forward and Run Diagnostics (probably not the correct way to have proceeded).
(2) Spare key for the car (c5 series 1) needs to be programmed...... What is the procedure for this.?

The RPO number is in the drivers door jam near the tyre pressures, take the first 5 digits of the long number which will be about 12 digits long.

For programming check the programming guide I posted on page two of this thread:

Thanks Mandrake. very helpful....I'm probably being over cautious in using the program. I only loaded ''Lexia'' and not PP2000 -as I will only be using the program on Citroens. I trust this is O.K

Attempted to reprogram a (series 1) C5 key today. All went o.k until the key-code was requested I filled in the code that came with the car, and was told that the incorrect code was entered - the code consists of four letters,(no zeros, that might be mistaken for oh's or anything confusing) simple enough you might say. Has anybody experienced this. The car was purchased second-hand a number of years ago, and the second key (without the blip) opens & locks doors, turns on the ignition, turns over the engine, but will not start the car. Perhaps the wrong code card was supplied with the car. Wondering if it is possible to get the code from a main dealer, on the basis of giving him the VIN number?
