so it remained unsussed!! Kicked myself when I realised the full name of the King's station as that had been my first thought without the prelude so it was dismissed!! As for the bees in the bale it just didn't register until I saw the word attack!! A good workout though, thanks bobins!!

Whilst I'm in awe of all of you who could solve it, I'm in even bigger awe of those who can set puzzles like this..

We discussed this puzzle during our social run yesterday morning and it seems the kind of cryptic blindness I have (for want of a better description) is not uncommon amongst my cohort. One friend, a very skilled technical author, is totally 'blind' to anagrams.
