I can't think of a reason why not although the software it uses will be Lexia rather than Diagbox on a car of that age.horsedentist wrote:Does Diagbox work on the 01 C5 2.2 ?

Re: Lexia group discount through moderator?
This is really of interest to me, can you reprogramm the tyre sensors with these, I've read that there may be another piece of kit needed to talk to the sensors but not really sure what the mystical item is.
Can anyone shed some light?

Re: Lexia group discount through moderator?
You need a Lexia and an "Exciter" in order to activate the sensor such as this Protoctair one. Having fitted the sensor to the wheel you then use Lexia to search to the relevant sensor whilst pointing the exciter at the valve, this procedure takes just a couple of minutes.

Re: What is Bashe 5?
Can anyone tell me what "Scantool" (below Lexia in Diagbox) is supposed to do ? Although it runs and connects, it doesn't really seem to do anything on a Xantia, so I'm just curious what its purpose is...

It's to diagnose lesser cars Simon. It's just a basic standard EOBDII reader as far as I know...

Re: What is Bashe 5?
Is it possible to change car settings with this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lexia-3-Lexia3- ... 96&vxp=mtr" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ?
I´ve got C5 MK3 and I´d like to disable tyre pressure sensors for winter tyre -season and also set my battery size to correct value after replacing original battery with different capacity battery. Is this possible? Also, does Lexia work on Win 7 64bit PC either on XP-compatibility mode, or in XP-virtual machine?

Yes you can turn off the tyre pressure sensors with Lexia, if you buy a Lexia from Jim at Easy Diagnostics it'll work on Windows 7 32 or 64 bit.Xantippa wrote:Is it possible to change car settings with this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lexia-3-Lexia3- ... 96&vxp=mtr" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ?

Re: Lexia group discount through moderator?
Being in the market for a reliable code reader / electronic diagnostic tool to use with my 1993 and 2000 Xantias (i.e. Series 1 and Series 2) and having read this entire thread, the clear indication was that I should contact Jim at EasyDiagnostics. I specifically raised with him an issue which someone advised can arise with certain Chinese-made Lexias which is poor matching between the S1 Xantia's 30-pin plug and the Lexia's matching unit. No doubt other issues raised in the thread above will also emerge as challenges. The fact that I live in Australia brought the potential transaction with EasyDiagnostics to a halt. Does anyone have any other suggestions. Over the past 3 years or so, I've purchased parts for both Xantias, my 2CV and '74 DS23 from UK suppliers without difficulty. Chris

Re: Diagbox Info
Not without more information. Your question is the equivalent of "my engine won't start, what's wrong with it"c.morewood wrote:My diagbox fails at the lexia installation stage. Can anyone point me towards a solution please
Chris
Where did you get your Lexia, (not all Lexia hardware is the same) and has it worked for you before on the same machine ?
Do you know what version of Diagbox / Lexia software it is ?
What steps have you followed up to the point where it failed ? What error messages did you get when it did fail ? etc.... without details we can but guess.

Re: What is Bashe 5? + Diagbox Info
Sorry Simon,
I spent 4 hours loading Diagbox v6.01 last night.. decided on the earlier version after having read about some of the problems with the later versions on the forum...
I installed it after unzipping it patched the DAL into the correct folder, got a fail so I rebooted and got a success, launched diagbox and entered the required codes but then got an error.
So I started today with the lexia reader usb connected as recommended elsewhere on this forum and got a little farther in that it was looking to load Lexia from the c temp diagbox_end.exe....but the programe couldn't find that file.. it was in the windows tem file for some reason.. so I moved it to the correct place and tried again.. but it still had a failure on the unzip.
So I unzipped it manually in to the correct folder but the Diagbox still stalls in the same place.. I have spent a couple of hours trying to see if I could manually activate Lexia.. but with no luck. so I guess the only thing left is another full install ...
I had planned on leaving my original lexia3 programme installed until I could figure out which was the better programme, but the diagbox seems to have uninstalled that leaving me with nothing at the moment.
Any guidance would be gratefully received and would help me stumbling around in the dark.
Thanks,
Chris

Re: What is Bashe 5? + Diagbox Info
Hi Chris,
I take it then that your interface didn't come with Diagbox originally ? Do you know if it is a chinese clone ? From the research I've been doing it appears that Diagbox 5.29 is the latest version that will work on the Chinese clone interfaces because they have a chipset serial number that has been blacklisted and will not work on later versions even if the firmware on the interface is updated. Some of the better quality interfaces like the ones from easydiagnostics do work with Diagbox 6.xx.
Did you lose your original installation disc ? Possibly your best bet is here:
http://www.auto-professionals.co.uk/sho ... hp?tid=196" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
In the first post by scarymistake (the author of the Diagbox patches we use) there are two linked files, "Update DiagBox 35 dep files 2.doc" contains a list of download links for the various versions of Diagbox and patches. (You'll need to register on that forum to be able to download the attachments)
If you think your interface might work with 6.xx try "Diagbox V6.30 Full Already Patched", however I suspect if your interface is an older one and a chinese clone then its not going to work with 6.xx, in which case you would want to try "Diagbox 5.02 Full", and updates 5.02 to 5.20 and 5.20 to 5.29 which will get you to the latest version that would work.
Another file that might be useful is "driver install diagbox" which contains the latest drivers for the interface which will also work on Windows 7. (Diagbox 5.29 probably won't work on Windows 7 otherwise)
If you're having problems getting the ACTIA device installed (errors in device manager when you plug in the interface) then you could try "interface checker and driver"
It might take some patience to download those files but hopefully it will do the trick. If you have any problems note down the error messages you get.
