That old laptop is newer than mine, I run Win7 32bit, no issues at all.

Please can somebody let either myself or huskyxantia know the correct procedure for letting his car know the DPF has been changed? I will be using a Rev B Lexia (from Easy Diagnostics, so a complete unit) with DiagBox 7.15.

You will likely need to run Peugeot Planet 2000 on this as it's an early 2006 vehicle.

RPO / DAM / Build Date: 10738
Model 206 CC
Engine: DV6TED4 (1.6HDI 110 with Particle Filter)

As for the procedure - you'll have to look around the replacement parts section James. I can't be specific but look for something like "Cleaning or replacement of DPF".

Can't remember exactly, but I 'renewed' mine when I had the hiccuping on regen issue (which wasn't the case). Think it's in replacement parts. Not much help I realise.

Under the low grey covered skys me & the wife made our way to Cobham services M25 to hopefully put an end to a nagging issue thats bugged me for over a year ............

Massive big thank you to Hell Razor5543 its nice to now start the car with out that unblock blah blah blah with the bleeps too

Also many thanks for running a full system diagnostics my next step is to get another egr valve which can be done in due course. Would the ecu need telling if another erg is fitted reason i ask , last week i replaced my egr with a new purchase but this made the car run like something was pulling the car backwards a feeling of power dropping & lifting not in time with the throttle. So i put the orginal back on it does have them faults but the car runs fine , no smoke , no hesitation

Hope you enjoyed your wrap of the day James , sorry we had to dash , hope we could meet again sometime . Thank you again.

Does the power drop and lift in a regular pattern and only at certain revs? Is so my van did this, it was the MAF. On the 1.6 90 you can unplug it and it goes into a default setting with MIL but no limp mode but I've got an idea the 110 goes into limp?? Someone will be able to confirm this.

There is no specific instruction to say that the engine ECU needs to be notified that I can see. However, the engine ECU memorises the recycling phases as you can see in the key role of the EGR:
  • The EGR electrovalve monitors the quantity of exhaust gas recycled.
  • The exhaust gas recycling (EGR) device reduces the amount of nitrogen oxide (NOx) emitted by the exhaust.
  • The reduction of the nitrogen oxide is achieved by re-injecting part of the exhaust gas into the cylinders.
  • The recycling phases are memorized in injection ECU mapping.
So if you can't see this as as item that is listed under replacement parts or anywhere for a reinitialisation, it may just take some time / running for the engine ECU to adjust.

This assumes the correct part was obtained and was not faulty of course.

Glad you have that part sorted out.

It was on acceleration , then sort of deceleration , but reading what Marc has posted i firmly belive its a faulty part, Ive just purchased a genuine peugeot part from a chap down the road from me who still works for psa hes let me have new old stock for £50 also said if it dont work i can have my money back. As for the pp2000 he don't touch computers he's more old school type of mechanics . As for the MAF nothing came up when it was on pp2000 earlier.
