I've also noticed the same. I have been using this forum for about a year now, and no joke, almost every thread I have read has had some kind of useful contribution from Marc. It has been helpful as I got my sat nav working, diagnosed a non start issue, and how to program a key. Thank you Marc!

I can definetly agree with others here. Marc is a fantastic contributor full of patience and knowledge, and very easy to communicate with. :-)

I have only recently joined this forum and have already had the pleasure of Marc's input. The level of detail offered was Off the Chart. He should be President of the Universe.

Thanks.

I still need more help though :D

Another Thanks Marc from me too. I have been a bit deliberatly thick on occasion and absolutely thick the rest of the time, but Marc has had my back on a number of occasions :luv:

My problems are I HATE the internet... Or more precisely, the way it works. I await a diag to see, but have long suspected I am somewhat different to other people. We think I am on the spectrum of adhd because EVERYTHING fits into my particular nich  So I get really upset at the fact that whatevr I ask the net comes back with the polar opposite of my question and that really narks me  So when I ask Marc the same question in different ways, and get the same answer, I have to agree with his reply, although I discovered my Berlingo is showing as a 5 speed on certain sites and I still think the DVLA are robbing me

Anyway, I recently rebuilt wife's C4 engine and had a few questions along the way. The most helpful (although, can that be correct, they were ALL most helpful  ) was the graphic showing how to set up the cam chain timing with a new chain. It took me a second to realise you have to turn the cam cassette upside down to match the graphic. But all through, I had to ask questions because I am still relatively new to diesels. So thanks Mark :)

The car starts & drives, but still got a diesel weep at the top end so her indoors is not too pleased that she still can't drive it. Life is getting in the way of me getting around to finding that weep. It has 3 recon injectors and one original, so I'm leaning towards the original being the cause. But a friend who's a diesel specialist suggested the return pipe "O" rings might be a cause, so when I get home I'll replace them. As an aside, I apply a lick of silicone grease to any seal or "O" ring before it is pushed home.

Anyway, this isn't about my car (although, ironically, it is the reason we are doing this :-D )

So to reiterate others and my absolute thanks for yur dedication to this forum....

Thanks Marc
Has anyone seen the plot? :?

I'll try to excuse myself by saying better late than never, but I really want to add my voice to everyone else's.

I'd be utterly lost without Marc's input, from small little issues to big tasks. I've always wanted to give something back to this forum due to the example set by Marc, tirelessly answering our questions and chiming in with great advice and useful comments.

Thanks, Marc!

Is Marc using multiple accounts to praise himself? 🧐

I did see that Mick - I'm sure it'll be a great chance for a catch up, however I can't attend due to ongoing commitments at home unfortunately.
Please note, I'm no longer active on the Forum, so won't respond to messages.

How on earth have I missed this thread?

Marc is insanely dedicated to the group and whilst probably should be sectioned because of his unquestioned devotion, it would be the wrong way to go as we'd be left a black hole on the forum and it would consume itself no doubt.

Of course, one of the pre-requisites of doing what Marc so effortlessly does is having a really good memory amongst many other skills, some of which we probably have no clue about.

Reading the BT hub post made me smile. I am not with BT but most hubs are very limited in their capacities. Personally, I use a Draytek router which enables me to be sitting here in Austria and to be able to switch my PC on at home and use it from here. So I am basically looking at my screen from 1003 miles away and typing to you on a German keyboard with the y and z in opposite locations and toasting Marc's infallible commitment to the FCF massive.

Thank you Marc!

Shame I cannot do anything remotely about my Xantia having been vandalised whilst I'm away...

A kind idea but I’ve ordered the number plates and will be back on Saturday. Also reported to Police just in case it turns out to be fuel theft related.
