Has the car done mainly short journeys? If so, try and give it a good run to get the whole system upto temp for a good 20/30 mins. The two codes seem to countermand each other so it might just be a glitch in the comms readings. I assume it was a yellow warning and the car ran/runs OK.
A evening run out to see the Kelpies at this time of year is not a bad thing, for instance.

Gets a good run all the time especially if I drive it. You are correct, it does have yellow warning and runs and drives perfectly. Have been under car and checked sensor, wiring etc as best as I could (bit difficult today with finger all bandaged up) hope to get better look through the week.

have they started salting your roads. if so, take WD40 with you the next time you check underneath. poor connections caused by damp salt is a b*****

I am actually not hopeful but at least if you get that close you can do a visual and physical securing check of the associated parts and wiring connectors. One less thing it could be ticked off the list. Do you have access to a fault code reader? Cheers

Have gave it a visual check, may pull connectors off to check for any water ingress and will give clean with contact cleaner or WD40. Have read codes and it is shown U029D(87) Fault in communication with the nox exclusion system & P2200(87) NOx sensor.

Re: 2016 Peugeot 3008 Active 1.6Hdi DPF Query/Help
Codes have been cleared a few times and either come straight back on or come on a day later.
Hopefully going to check wiring etc later in the week.
One question I do have is if it does require a NOx sensor does it need programmed to car. Asked my mechanic friend today who said he has changed a couple 3008's over the years and never had to do this...what are thoughts.

These have to be initialised when replaced.
Here's a replacement on a 2008 and initialisation:

Re: 2016 Peugeot 3008 Active 1.6Hdi DPF Query/Help
Well no choice but to get underneath it today. Engine light been off for about 3 days and 200+ miles but decided to come back on yesterday along with flashing urea light and warning of no start in 700miles. Plenty of adblue in it so investigating I shall go. I have noticed a tiny blow in exhaust over last few days but wouldn't think that would be enough to effect it allow it can so I shall start there. I think it is probably the NOx that has failed as still showing P2200 & U029D, will give it & its wiring a good check and hopefully update later.

Just don't wait too long or the vehicle will be prevented from starting and will likely need towing.
The problem is the 'Chicken and Egg' scenario:
You may suspect the NOx sensor, if it is detecting the high levels of NOx - possibly as the Adblue injector may be faulty by not injecting any Adblue - or the Adblue pump in the tank itself may be faulty.
I would hope that the NOx sensor could be ruled out first - but if you think about it, if the warning of engine non-start in xxx miles has started appearing, that would possibly indicate that there is a fault with the tank, as it is not detecting the Adblue level correctly - which would appear to be a tank issue....

Re: 2016 Peugeot 3008 Active 1.6Hdi DPF Query/Help
Okay so had the nox sensor off this morning and a bit of corrosion going on inside connector. Cleaned contacts and reassembled, Engine light is off but UREA light is still flashing along with 700 mile warning. There is plenty of Adblue in tank so I am now wondering if it also has a bit off corrosion going on and as such not sending correct info to ECU as to how much is remaining in tank. Will get back under it shortly and investigate further.

That's what I am suspecting - there nothing really you can do though if it is a tank problem They are sealed and the pump assembly and other components are inside -which is why they are so expensive.
Fingers crossed though that there's something more obvious you may find...

Re: 2016 Peugeot 3008 Active 1.6Hdi DPF Query/Help
LATEST UPDATE
Was in at local garage three weeks ago where they had the car for three days and diagnosed a faulty N0x sensor, power in but n signal out. Sensor replaced and ECU told of change, problems still there but some further testing they think that new N0x sensor is faulty. They contacted their supplier who informed them that as it is a genuine Peugeot part it would be replaced under warranty but only after it had been to a Peugeot Garage for diagnostics.
At Peugeot Garage couple of days ago for diagnostics and results are inconclusive, possibility of new sensor being faulty which happens more than you would think but they suspect that there is a problem with the wiring, sensor connector was corroded but cleaned when new sensor put on - Peugeot however think this corrosion has probably crept up the inside of the wires. They are now wanting the car for up to three days but it is another four weeks before they can take it in (garage with good reputation) as busy.
Will report back with update after it has been in.

Re: 2016 Peugeot 3008 Active 1.6Hdi DPF Query/Help
Well it is back from dealer garage. Been there over a week and they have come to the conclusion that it is electrical. They say that they cannot source the correct plugs even from Peugeot and the only solution is for the bit of wiring harness to be replaced at a cost of £2000+, also informed me that the Cat has a hole in it and the exhaust flexi pipe needs replacing.
Needless to say I have collected car.
