Hi.

My post if can just use it once more for battery opinion.

Quinton Hazel, anyone with experience of them?
Made by Platinum, the fella in my auto shop says.

£100 for a high cca, so not a budget price.

The shop is next to my work, so,easy to transport. A big plus.

Wouldn’t dream of it when you could get a Yuasa 5000 series 096 with a 5 year warranty for an extra £22 from Halfords, maybe cheaper if you shop about.
In my opinion yuasa are without doubt the best car battery on the market.

Who knows, even the Stop & Start may start working after a battery swap too!

Resolved and thanks for all the advice.

A new Yuasa 096 battery.

I checked all terminals again, all good and the car feels better too, improved throttle response and the engine sounds smoother at cruising speed.

Battery load tester, I bought one and a great device for £20 or less.
To have this tool will save anyone a lot of unnecessary fault finding as I was doing at the start of my post.
