It's the wrong one then.... Ignore the Citroen part no (unless you order direct) - go off the long number printed on the BSM. Refit the original, see if the wipers stop. Then jump a 12V supply direct on the fuel pump and see if it will run.

What number is on the original BSM, I might have one....

It's why I doubted it was 6500CK in reality - yes they are all the same across the C5 MK II - I know that, but on the second hand market essential to use the '96***' code.

9657718580 is the number on the side of the BSM in car. How do i `jump a 12v supply direct to the fuel pump`?

Can a BSM be reprogrammed and if so how?

This number needs to be matched exactly - forget the Citroen part number, it covers many variants.

Just run a wire direct from battery to pump plug (accessed via hatch under rear seat squab).

Probably, in the same way that Everest can be climbed, but too much like hard work for me, just find one with matching numbers.

If buying new - 6500CK is the only part you need form Citroen - there is no programming the module for your vehicle or an option of a pre-configured variant - there is only one part. Your issue is probably that a second hand seller has mis-sold it and it's not a 6500CK unit in the first place. I bought one of these for my MK II and no issues.

That's your problem then - it's not correct - that one is 6500CG and typically from a Peugeot 407 and is an L02-00.

The look is irrelevant - they all look mostly the same - it's the electronic cards inside that are different - designed for different vehicle systems.

Thank you! I emailed the seller and they are adamant it is from a 2006 1.6 HDi citroen C5.

I was looking for an under bonnet fuse box too and we found one that matched all the numbers identical.

It was installed and we still had our problem.

I already knew there were "almost" identical fuse boxes, but inside the electronics are routed differently to suit different requirements so I was lucky to happen across the right one.

Anyway, now waiting on a Lexia to see if I can interrogate the system and find why the ABS and associated systems are flagging up a fault which I can't trace
Has anyone seen the plot? :?

Getting the right BSM can be a minefield, I bought two before I got the right one for the C4. If it says 9657718580 on the side then that is what you need and nothing else will do.
Unfortunately this is one of the rarer variations but they do come up on ebay. If you want to take a punt there is a Polish site listing one at under £100 :
https://www.franceauto.pl/pl/p/MODUL-BS ... 004-K/2581
Installing the right one on the C4 cured all the original problems and the wipers could still be turned off.....!

I would like to thank everyone - having previously used

viewtopic.php?t=49329

Thank you for links - i have sourced one.

Thanks for posting the thread link - I will review it with a view to moderating anything in it factually incorrect.

I'm pleased you sorted it.
