I was kind of thinking that Mike. The eml on and dash warning could be a red herring now, as the dpf was hardly letting any water through it and by the time i had finished cleaning it the water was running freely through it. That must have helped, and the car has done 86k and is 10 years old, so thats probably its time. It may well need Eolys too. By the way, I FECKIN HATE EXHAUSTS!!!!

hope it works Davie.. I think my DPF was showing 98% full when I looked last week.. I may need some preventive maintenance!

I havent been out to do my first diagnostic session yet. Always had something else to take up the time my body allows me to do stuff. I would say Monday, yes thats xmas day, will be the day that I will do it as I have nothing planned bar a microwave xmas dinner lol
