On my Android phone, to clear the Chrome cache, I hit the menu button at the top right, then 'History' then 'Clear Browsing Data' then uncheck the options except 'Cached images and data' then 'CLEAR DATA'.

Yes, I've passed on the iPhone X, as I think a ££ Grand ££ is a little excessive, so instead am plumping for the iPhone 8 Plus - bargain at £949! NOT

I recently upgraded to a Sony Xperia XA1. It is available for around £200, is current (only came out a few months ago), and a decent spec level. Mind you, I have always liked the Sony phones.
