Dual Climate control one side hot the other cold

Hi folks,
I've had the same problem with heater flaps on my C5.
I found this other fix on Youtube:



which avoids taking the heater matrix out altogether.
The guy here is replacing the one on the drivers side which is a bit more difficult than the passengers side, but the principle is the same.
I've ordered a repair kit from Ebay, which with postage is around £55.
