GiveMeABreak wrote:Simon - interesting - but when I print out the diagrams - I use the built in print feature of SEDRE (where the zooming controls are) - I never use screen shots. This then prints to whatever printer I want - but in this case I use CutePDF as my PDF writer. However, looking at one of the Preheating Ignition document - it does look very blurry - compared to the others!
This won't create a vectorised PDF, it will still be a bitmap. This is an Internet Explorer limitation not CutePDF. (I think from memory CutePDF with Google Chrome gives good results too, but why use CutePDF when Chrome has a built in PDF print exporter and from memory the result is a bit better)
Looking at your conversion - very crisp and easy to read - I'll certainly bear that in mind for future, cheers.
Another issue though - trouble is I can't use Chrome with SEDRE - Google have stopped all support for JAVA in Chrome from Sept 2015 I believe - so I can't even open any SEDRE pages with that browser now. So it's IE 9 for compatibility!
You don't use Chrome as a browser to browse Sedre - use Sedre with internet explorer as normal, locate the diagram you want, then right click the SVG image and save the SVG as a file. (SVG not SVGZ) Now open the saved SVG in Chrome and use print to PDF.

A lot of steps, but it's worth it as the result is perfect quality.
